It’s not blind faith. If she were a danger to democracy, they would abandon her in a heartbeat. Since there is virtually zero chance of that, their decision is made. This is the stance of all Republican never-Trumpers who viewed Trump as a threat to democracy. Blind faith is what Trump described—saying he could shoot someone on Fifth Avenue and not lose votes. Unfortunately, he's been more right than wrong about that.

Right - but it IS working, and it will work until the convention at a minimum. It also helps that she is running against someone that the American people are sick of and doesn't discuss policy either - instead he just attacks people and talks about himself. Also - good luck getting very far attacking her record, she was a Vice President, and she was supporting another administration. Further, she will get a lot of leeway because the candidate she is going against has a very long track record. This race is very close - and some of that is Harris, but a lot of it is because of Trump. If Harris keeps the enthusiasm level high, she has a chance to win. If I were a betting man, I would bet on Trump winning because he will win the Electoral College - but you cannot seriously expect Harris to get deep into policy when her opponent is still talking about which nickname for Joe Biden is best, and claiming that Biden will appear at the DNC to take his nomination back. There is a lot of time left in political terms before the election, but not an eternity. Each day that Harris doesn't shoot herself in the foot, and that Trump talks about Biden or recycles the same attacks against Harris that he used against Biden, in another wasted day for the Trump campaign to stunt the momentum of Harris. There are currently 82 days until the election. The DNC is August 19-22..... that means that there will be 74 days after that passes for Trump and Vance to try and turn this around. Short of the DNC convention being overthrown by Palestinian supporters, the news cycle for the next 10 days is going to be focused on Harris and the DNC.

I have hopes of Harris actually winning the electoral vote right now. Trump is falling quick, and a couple of states he is ahead of could turn blue if this keeps up.
Trump is old - I don't know that he is cognitively declining. Biden is even older, and he has some sort of neurological issue. I don't know if he mentally has declined either, but he could not effectively communicate anymore. I am sure he has good and bad days. When you have two near 80-year-old candidates, it isn't as stark as when you have one candidate that is decades younger. I don't think that Trump's age should exclude him from being President at this point, but I personally will likely shy away from candidates over 70 in the future when it comes to picking at the primary stage...... but we are in the GE at this point.
The number is irrelevant - the point is that Obama, GH Bush and others did not lie near the level that Trump has. At this point everyone knows that Trump is a braggard, a liar and not a good person - some people excuse it because they like his charisma or policies, some don't like it because they view it as unethical and some don't like it because they don't like his policy. It is a real problem - and hopefully he is a one off when it comes to the flagrant lying.
Not really. You are voting for Donald Trump and you believe that he is a bad person and impulsive and don't agree with a lot of his personal decision. You support him because the alternative is Kamala Harris, who you believe is a socialist. At the end of the day everyone makes compromises - most of us wouldn't want to have Christmas dinner with either Candidate.
Fully agree. I am not ageist. I have tried not to mention bidens age but his mental decline. I dont know if its due to neurological issues or if they are even considered the same. Either way, Biden isn't a good candidate. Trump has certainly slowed down, but that comes with age. I think he is ok at this point to serve a 4 year, but anything past that, Im not so sure. We should be sticking with younger candidates. Politicians shouldn't be dying from old age while in office. I wish people would push back more on this, regardless of ideology.
The guy loves stiffing people. Ask his lawyers and the rest he's stiffed. He's had 6 bankruptcies on top of that and added 8 trillion to the National Debt. He's a fraud, con, and felon, yet there are still people want to trust him with leading our country.
