The Stros could use a young player with a good hit tool.

    Great stuff

    Just struggled with his control.

He won a Cy Young because of his stuff.

    126 Rutschman
    124 Diaz

    112 Smith
    111 Realmuto
    111 Raleigh

I'm still pinching myself. This is the organization that gave you Luis Pujols, Tony Eusebio, Brad Ausmus and Martin Maldinado.

Click, while he certainly wasn't perfect definitely added onto what Luhnow built. Hopefully Dana can do the same. Scott and Ort were certainly great finds.

Straw was a pinch runner, start every once in a while (platoon at best) type of player.

And we really wanted Maton out of the deal, and he served that middle relief role quite nicely for the next 2 seasons. The trade would have been a win just based on that.

Getting Diaz as well was quite the coup. The rest, as they say, is history.

I didn’t think it was that bad… that is kind of how Tucker handles his pregame anyway. I don’t know when or even if he is coming back, but I am not reading into 10 second clips from 300 feet away - of a player that moves that way in pre-game anyways.

Let's say he can't sprint but can jog. Any chance they would keep him as a bench player. Use him as a pinch hitter and hope he hits a hr or even a sac fly? And if they make the playoffs, would they use a roster spot for him knowing he would be limited? But if it doesn't work out, he can be replaced due to injury but would be ineligible for the next series. Or would they just shut him down for the season. Not risk further injury because they would want him 100% healthy for next season? But if they use my idea, I guess the 1 negative is he would immediately be replaced(pinch runner or defensive substitute) so basically using 2 players to replace the original hitter.

Play Alvarez in LF and DH Tucker if he can only jog.

Would be funny if Tucker has a Kirk Gibson moment seeing as how they are very similar players.

I'm uber excited that the Rangers were dumb enough to think they had a chance at the division and held onto their assets instead of trading.
This will have ramifications moving into next year.

Possible? Yes if Tucker is agreeable to it - but I suspect that Tucker's agent will say no.

Kikuchi and Spencer Spaghetti have been pleasant surprises so far.

Hopefully Tucker comes back soon, offense has gotten back into a purple patch but when it struggles that bat is sorely missed.

Didn't Eusebio have an insane hitting streak. We also had one magical half season of JR Towles. Maldonado was a silver slugger finalist despite being a sub .240 hitter. And Craig Biggio was an all star for his bat.
