Man, Trump has said and posted some crazy things, but accusing Harris of completely faking a rally and "A.I.ing" the whole thing is unhinged. And by the way, I don't think the source of the photo on the left has been discovered yet. And it didn't come from Harris' campaign, according to Snopes. https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/harris-walz-crowd/ In my unprofessional opinion the above photo does look digitally manipulated, though I'm not sure for what purpose. Who knows, it could have been intentionally created and released to later use as "proof" that the rally was faked. And here's what seems to be a real video from the rally. No need to fake that
I'm adding this because according to Newsweek, the photo is really from the Harris campaign. Huh. https://www.newsweek.com/stephen-ki...s-plane-crowd-artificial-intelligence-1937624 (fourth paragraph) A Harris campaign official told Newsweek via email late Sunday afternoon, "I can confirm that the photo was taken by Harris campaign staff and not modified by AI in any way."
I think the picture looks a bit odd because it's a wide angle shot taken from inside the hangar then cropped heavily. So the exposure feels weird since the camera is in the dark hangar but part of the crowd and the plane is brightly lit. You get a pretty similar feel picture by cropping the posted video. As for the reflection 'evidence', that's just an effect of convex mirror reflection. You see the same reflection in the picture taken by the AP.
Thanks for the clarification. I took another look at the photo in question, and when I magnified it, I could tell that the image went through some digital touch-ups. Most notably, the shadowed figures were likely brightened and the sun's effect highlighted, while many of the areas were given a painterly quality. I think that made me suspect it was digitally created, but now I think it was just digitally stylized. Which isn't much of a problem since this wasn't supposed to be photojournalism.
Goodness. Trump, the only crowd that matters is the one that cast ballots for the general election. He wants so much to make it look like everyone loves him so you can too. Nothing succeeds like success. Fake it till you make it. All those other stupid truisms. And to some extent, it is probably working for him. But when it doesn't work, he just looks sad and pathetic.
22 seconds of Trump Rally bliss ... Faux News bails after 22 seconds, so this brain freeze could have lasted longer.
The very Stable Genius finds clever ways to spend his campaign's money. Trump’s 'frivolous' $100m DOJ lawsuit draws scathing responses: 'Pathetic attempt at being relevant'
