Ya I see this a lot. Post 9/11 there was a large skeptic/atheist online community full of young males usually isolated geek types and they almost all turned into dudes who just hate Muslims because they want to attack the evils of foreign cultures rather than look within. Their entire motivation to be in these spheres is to make themselves better that there are foreign cultures worse than them. It's the same motivation to why people listened to shows like Dr. Laura.
