or we are realist, yes steph curry can shoot, but if you put steph on a random non_stacked team, how far would team usa or the warriors go. I cant see steph carrying a team all the way to the semis like jokic steph made 8 3's, good for him, the fiba 3-point line is closer
"LOL", here is a lesson for you: The point spread doesn't win gold medals or championships. You have to actually play the game.
why is team usa not covering the spread againist these weaker european teams do yall not realize that this win, is not a flex for team usa at all. Compare team usa to this france/serbia team .. and just go down the iist, how are these games this close. Probably because the nba is not real basketball and fiba is this same team usa roster would score 200 in regulation, but struggle to get 100 here in fiba.. what gives
ok why was the game this close who the eff is yabusele lol, like do you not realize this game should have been a blowout given the huge differences in talent why cant the nba or somebody in congress get the nba to take on fiba refs... like why do i have to see scott foster for every big playoff game
Harden has been great in Olympics and FIB. He carried multiple teams to gold medals. Now if you talking about old fat harden, then you know the answer.
No matter how you feel about the mouthpiece or the antics, Steph is uniquely special ... There's no one close to him as an assassin!
harden in the 2014 fiba world cup had a 66% true shooting percentage and was the best player by far in the entire tournament according to several advanced metrics
It was close cuz France got the benefit of the doubt from refs since this Olympics was in Paris, The free discrepancy was like 17-5 when it mattered, France was playing physical and it was allowed. But not so much when US tried.
In all fairness, the Americans jacked up more 3s so less fouls drawn... granted, I would jack up even more 3s with Steph on the roster
This type of thought just demonstrates how underrated team chemistry really is. You are correct, USA has an insane pool of talent to choose from, but reality is that the US team has always had a revolving door and there is never consistency. The world has improved by leaps and bounds and those teams usually have teams playing together for years and they are able to develop chemistry. Ultimately, talent will overcome chemistry issues, but the teams we play against are a lot better now a days and it is no walk in the park, even though from a talent perspective it seems like it should be. I understand the lack of excitement from individuals that don't appreciate chemistry.
Once he adapted, Steph destroyed FIBA just like he destroys the NBA. He's won 4 NBA championships, and now, a gold medal. Just appreciate the greatness of an all-timer.
my love for the Rockets has robbed me of the joy of just watching great players like Lebron, Curry and KD. I feel nothing when they win. I hate that for myself
