The White House conducts daily press briefings to update the public and answer questions. These briefings take place at the White House and other departments. While not mandatory, they have become a longstanding tradition. I don't follow these briefings, but news organizations attend to gather information, ask questions, and report to the public. From what I understand, the Biden administration continues this practice. In contrast, the Trump administration halted daily briefings, leaving most communication to Trump himself. Yes. I understand that they were in a tough position. Most that challenged him were going to get primaried and likely be out of a job. But as you said. Had they all united and actually voted for the conviction on impeachment their party would be better right now. They didn't. Also, it was simply the right thing to do.
They KNOW that impeachment was the right thing to do, they cowardly refused to do it and hoped he would age out, or the democrats would solve their problem and Trump would be temporary, instead they enabled a monster. DD
