Old Man Trump Mixes Up California Politicians in Weird Kamala Story

This was possibly the strangest lie Donald Trump told during his Mar-a-Lago press conference.

Donald Trump’s spontaneous press conference at Mar-a-Lago was riddled with lies. He claimed that his crowd size was bigger than Martin Luther King Jr.’s March on Washington (it wasn’t even close). He claimed that Democrats want to gut Social Security (they don’t, but Republicans are trying to). He claimed that no one died on January 6 (four of his own supporters died from the events, including Ashli Babbitt, whom Trump and his allies attempted to morph into a MAGA martyr).

But possibly the weirdest lie that Trump told Thursday was a tall tale about nearly dying in a helicopter crash with Vice President Kamala Harris’s old boyfriend, former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown.

Brown, for his part, denied ever riding in a helicopter alongside Trump—or nearly dying in one, for that matter.

Instead, the man in the helicopter was reportedly former California Governor Jerry Brown, who rode in the copter with Trump alongside current California Governor Gavin Newsom in 2018. But aside from sharing a last name, the two Browns look, frankly, nothing alike. Still, the two actual passengers in the story had their qualms with its legitimacy.

Republicans, let Trump lose this year. Rebuild your party. Get away from the MAGA nuts.
Come back in 2028 with a "normal" candidate. Run on actual issues.

Thats the best roadmap, IF the gop loses they have no one to blame but themselves. If someone like N Haley was the candidate, they could have cruised to victory, hell if it was her or Biden, I was going to be on the fence because of Joe`s age and I love the guy. I really do want the gop to get back to "normal" but as long as there is trump and maga that will never happen, if they lose it will be just like the aftermath of J6 where the gop said enough of trump but then they all lost their moral compass and went back to kissing his ass.........................as an independent I will never vote for an extremist on either side. I also am tired of maga telling me how crappy our country is, I love this country and it's a great place to live, warts and all

The whole notion of "if you don't support MAGA, you must hate america" is insane.

Sad part is that there will always be some dumb schmuck who believes his ridiculous lies, exaggerations, and outright nonsense, like saying he drew a bigger crowd size than MLK.

But those people will never change their minds. They're brainwashed.

The ones that actually can think for themselves at one point thought he was a better candidate in 2016, a worse candidate in 2020, and now... we're at the point where we have no clue why he's still a candidate other than that the party has too much invested on him winning to turn to anybody else.

If you ever thought Trump was the better candidate, you are incapable of thinking for yourself.

I guess I meant 'better' in terms of relative to how he's viewed now. he was viewed 'worse' in 2020 because he's not fit to hold the office he had and he screwed up enough to lose.

Somebody still has to explain why he deserves this chance right now. What did he do in the interim? Sell bibles to pay for his legal stuff?

"They" won't run him. He'll run himself, as a Republican, and there's nothing they can do to stop him. McConnell gave a speech about January 6th, called it an insurrection, and Trump still got the nomination again. If McConnell--who's among the most powerful senators ever--can't do anything, no one can.

Trump is the nominee until he gets reelected or dies.

It's not political. It's clickbait and tabloid content for profit as stated in the WSJ article.

Which is funny. WSJ is now under News Corp ownership. That type of content is how Rupert Murdoch built his media empire going back to the Sun newspapers. Tabloid news and scandals manufactured or otherwise is News Corp.
