Is it? Why should she if Trump and his social media trolls just keep shooting themselves in the foot and she benefits from it. Trump and MAGA has been more concerned about Harris' ethnicity, who she has ****ed and stupid claims that her VP nominee has stolen valor. As long as they keep doing that, she should bask in not being Trump, because that is enough.

Policy and substance are not strengths of Trump - and until he articulates what his are, it is going to be hard for him to really attack her on policy and substance.

At some point she will have to discuss her policy choices - and she cannot be everything to everyone, and there will be some political fall out of that. However, we are not at the point where she has to do that yet, so there is no real reason for her to from a political standpoint.

"This is not the first time this has happened. Flashback: September 2021. Harris visits a school, and a kid goes off about Israel. Her response? "Your truth cannot be suppressed, and it must be heard."

There is nothing wrong with what she said - Goldberg is literally looking for things to get angry about. Harris did not say that she agreed with the kid's position on Israel. What she said is that their opinion cannot be suppressed and must be heard. That is the beauty of the freedom of speech in the USA. People with strong opinions get to express those opinions, whether we agree with them or not.

She rarely goes off script? For the first time, she has had the freedom to run a campaign how she wants and been in a position to be truer to how she feels and wants to do things. She gets in trouble when she attempts to do exactly what staff and advisors suggest. Her only realistic way to win is to do it the way she wants.

Okay - If I were advising her, I would tell her not to say much until the MAGA trolls stop being ignorant.... but to each their own.

I would think her responsibility is towards the American public, regardless of what her opponent does.

Never interrupt your opponent when they're making a mistake.

Kamala has no reason to say boo until the debates.

The Maga chuds can cope and seethe until then. Not like they were gonna be swayed by a damn thing she says anyway.

Conservatives want Kamala to express her stance and policies just to have more ammo to sht on her. Regardless of what she says or do the likes of atw and stuff will pick at it bc her stances does not align with theirs.

Right now Kamala doesn't have to alienate anyone with her stances and plan bc the conservatives entire gameplan is to attack the physical attribute and sling sht at the Democratic ticket and its not working. Like why bother engage when the conservatives have such an unpopular ticket?

Biden did give the working class the Child Tax Credit which has since expired since the Rs in The House will not renew. The Child Tax Credit reduced child poverty to historically low levels.

Harris would make the Child Tax Credit permanent, if Congress sends her the bill.

What would Trump do? Tax cuts for the top %1, appoint extremist jurists to the federal courts, apply a 10% tariffs on all imports, and sic the DoJ on everybody who does not support Donald J Trump.

The real bug-a-boo for the working class is that inflation for their everyday expenses may not have kept pace with their salary increases. Raising the minimum wage (which has not had a COLA for like 20 years) would help, but every single R in Congress would vote against it, making it unlikely to ever get the POTUS desk.

The Rs have no solutions. They want to fight Culture Wars ... and ... "Strike a pose, there's nothing to it".

"The cruel child separation policy". This one is tricky. Sexual and physical abuse is a problem. They do need protection from other detainees, ICE officers, and contractors.

At this point, Trump has to be out there to do whatever he has to do to not lose again. He's the challenger... coming off a loss... of course he is going to have to be more aggressive.

The problem is that more "aggressive" Trump doesn't necessarily coincide with garnering more support from undecideds or independents. His camp probably wants him to tone it down in general, but they just don't have a set strategy or focus right now because everything was based on being better than Biden.

If they can revamp the campaign strategy to something other than "these people are bad people... i'm a better person... ", along with trying to look less racist and more 'normal', and not simply catering to the LCD demographic in the US.... then maybe they'll resonate with those who's votes are still literally up for grabs.

But so far, they've done none of that.
