My friends at DPS and the lege won't like this, but call your state rep if you have to go that far for an appt. Oftentimes they can make a call and get you something much sooner. I did casework for a member in a former life and did this quite often especially for the elderly. I think they staff based on local trends. For instance, the HEB in Mueller in Austin doesn't have as many checkout cashiers as the one on Burnet at early hours. I see a lot more old people shopping super early at that store than Mueller where it gets busy around 10.
"Can everyone see my screen?" YES, WE CAN SEE YOUR SCREEN. If we can't, we will let you know. STOP ASKING.
People who don't respect your cruise control on the highway...speed up, slow down, speed up as I'm passing you, then decide to pass me 3 miles later...then slow down
I admit I did that this morning. Probably right around the time you wrote this. Didn’t know you were on my teams call.
When you're at the self-checkout and something goes wrong and your whole transaction grinds to a halt. The little light starts blinking and you have to wait for the worker to finish checking out the old lady who doesn't know how to use the self check so he can come swipe his card and get you back on track again. I take GREAT PRIDE in knowing how to use the self check quickly and efficiently, so it's totally humiliating when you have to wait for a worker to help for some unknown reason.
Yeah, me, too.. but sometimes the self-checkout device just won't cooperate. I shop at Kroger and I press the "Skip bagging" button after every item and it does NOT like me doing that. But I also don't like hearing it constantly bark at me to put my item in the bagging area. It needs to just STFU and let me do my thing.
When I am behind somebody at the fountain drink station and after filling their cup instead of clearing the way for the next person they pause and take a sip before leaving the station. Fill your cup and go.
Reading a web article on the iPhone browser and the page reloads out of nowhere just as you are getting into it. So annoying.
If it's to-go that move depends on the fizz. You want as much as you can get if it needs to last for a while.
I have no issues with the pause and wait for the fizz to go down and top off...my problem is when you've already reached top off and you stand there and start drinking it at the station when there's people waiting behind you. Also acceptable is if you over filled and have to do a quick slurp to avoid spillage on the walk away.
