Ukraine invading Russia would’ve been unthinkable even as recently as this Spring. What a twist.

The US let Ukraine fire onto Russian soil a few months ago to break Russia's half year momentum that Trump and Republicans fostered by holding up funding and weapons.

They don't have the numbers to hold anything for long but it's enough to make the Russians reconsider their troop deployments.

 

If they could pivot to the south and blow the hell out of that rail system they could cut off Russian troops in a pincher move.

If Russia cannot both stop AND repel this incursion, I don’t see how they don’t end up capitulating.

 

I wish. But I fear that Putin will instead just murder more Ukrainian civilians.

 

Vladimir Putin has had a really bad week. I hope he stubs his toe, too.

 

Apparently the Ukranians are currently building fortifications in Kursk - in other words, they arent planning to leave.

I guess the longer they hold, the less Putin can lie from a position of strength, but it won't come cheap.
