See?! SEE?!!!! Not even halfway through camp and this gawddamn diva, locker room cancer is utterly destroying EVERY thing the Texans built last season1!!!111! He's absolutely ruining the Texans chances at... Wait...wut?
Issue with Diggs in Buffalo is most likely this. He is probably the guy who will just tell it like it is. The kind of person you need around if you truly want to reach that next level. Once the Bills found out that they couldn't get past KC, the culture changed. The toxicity loser mentality etc starts to creep in at the top. Then when the yapper who is calling you out, starts to hurt your feelings, it probably got really annoying for the guys who couldn't handle it. The Texans have a great up and coming culture. It's a great fit, because guys like Diggs belong with savages like CJ and Demeco. They are on the same mission. I am not saying that Josh Allen and Co aren't necessarily competitive like that, but I just have a hard time seeing how someone as football passionate as Diggs would be a "problem" if his true intentions are to be the best. If you are built like that, you don't respect people as much if they just happen to win off talent. I could be completely off base, but being in the human business there is clearly an ego issue at play between Diggs and other leaders on the team.
Lmao at the hit pieces and passive aggressiveness. May he have a career year against the bills. That's gonna be must see tv.
I mean, IF (and I do mean IF) Diggs has any kind of cancer type influence on this team, it was never going to manifest during training camp. We don't really know anything yet about how he's really going to fit in here. I suspect between Demeco and CJ they'll have the leadership skills to manage Stefon's ego when he has a bad game or feels like he isn't getting enough targets or something. But we won't really know how that will go until one of those games happens. My prediction is Diggs minds his manners, for the most part, this season to try and set himself up for his last big contract (which is probably why they voided those years anyway). Watching those videos posted above I could see how his personality would become grating, especially when that outspokenness transitions into negativity because he isn't happy. But hey, if the Texans just play up to their potential and win like crazy this season I suspect all of that won't matter because everyone will be happy.
Diggs also knows he's under the microscope and might be going out of his way to start fresh and counteract the narrative. During the pressure of the season when things aren't going exactly how he wants, we'll see.
Honestly that type of chattiness shouldn't be an issue if the culture of the team is to be great. That is ultimately a positive mindset.
So far so good. Even a single tear of Diggs appears to be going well. The Bills without Diggs has not impressed. 6-33 to the Bears.
I hear, "Nobody really cares" in that statement. There's a difference between rooting for your team and team mates and indifference.
