@FranchiseBlade is more of a capitalist than this socialist. Nothing wrong with it per se, necessarily, but people with that profile who have never held a job outside of being funded by the public typically have zero understanding or appreciation for how the private economy works and believe in big government. I have seen these types of politicians a lot in Germany. Often, they are authoritarian as well. Putting them in power usually leads to disastrous results for the economy.
Assumptions about socialism and authoritarianism aside, the question of whether he would have a good understanding of the private economy and financial policies seems to me to be a valid point. It would be good to hear Walz explain his views during debates and interviews.
His profile (and actually Kamala's, too) reminds me of that of Merkel and Scholz from Germany, and of politicians like Kretschmann (prime minister of the state of Baden-Wuerttemberg). They only ever lived on state-funded jobs. These people WRECKED the German economy. When ideology trumps economic common sense at the highest level, people's livelihood suffers.

I really do appreciate the MAGA response that they could never vote for Harris/Walz because of his response to the George Floyd protests. I guess they’ll have to rescind their vote for Trump too since he’s so aligned with Walz.

It’s going to be a rough today here in Minnesota. I have to inform my developer clients that dear leader Tim Walz has destroyed Capitalism and will be seizing their projects in name of Socialism. I was also informed last night that Minneapolis has been colonized and Sharia law is on the way to being imposed. Even as I write this now I’m being deafened by the call to prayer from the top of US Bank stadium, now converted to a state mosque. I don’t think he said anything incorrect in that clip. From what I understand, his battalion DID go to Europe and provide support during the Afghanistan war. He’s not saying he personally went to Afghanistan or Iraq. I believe his battalion did indeed go to Iraq after he retired, which is what he is saying in this video. It appears you are purposely trying to mislead people with this video. Did you actually watch the video?
One of the best parts of Walz getting named VP is watching the normally subdued and moderate @rocketsjudoka go beast mode tiger mom on all the resident conservative twitter drones for talking out of their asses about his governor and state, lol.

A better look would be to just say, "Tim Walz, thank you for your nearly quarter century of service. But I disagree with your policies on providing free lunch for school children, paid family leave, and appointing Keith Ellison to prosecute the murderers of George Floyd" They could substitute whatever other factual policy decisions he has made, if they wish. But to dishonestly mislead folks and demean and belittle Walz' service (which also happens to belittle the service of other veterans that served our nation in the same capacity), makes people just seem extreme, radical, and bitter. In addition it is disrespectful to all who have served our nation.
