Did you know that a primary isn't even required? There doesn't have to be a primary at all. Each party is allowed to choose their candidate anyway they want. What happened to Biden wasn't a coup. The nominee chosen was done so by the person who had the most primary victories and who was also on the ticket voted upon during the primary.
Honestly wouldn't mind Vance being replaced. Trump could use a woman or a minority if he wants to maximize his chances.
This chaos won't last. They'll land on a line of attack that works eventually. The problem is Trump just needs to shut the **** up until then (and possibly after). Nothing he or Vance is saying is helping them at ALL.
