Tigers offense has to go against Kirby though, should be a good pitching match up where runs are scarce.
Yeah, just saw he was pitching after my comment. They didn’t mention Kirby on the Ms broadcast, just said it was going to be tough tomorrow against Skubal. Maybe Bligh Madris will help us out.
Montero was awesome !!! Not Rafael, but Keiser -- he entered the game with a 6.18 ERA, then served 6 innings with 1 run. Astros are now only 0.5 behind. .
Today's Starter for the Rangers JOSE URENA His last outing: Fri 8/2 vs BOS L11-6 4.0IP, 8H, 7ER If my math is correct, we have scored 8 runs in 7.1 innings against him this year.
We may not like him, but Seager is one of the best hitters in baseball. When he is at the plate, you know bad things are "likely" to happen.
He's great. This fan base forgot what it was like to have other players (and teams) have consistent success... because it really hasn't happened during the golden era all that much (and that includes plenty of games against Judge, Trout, Ohtani, etc.) Meanwhile, on the flip side: Yordan has done more "likely bad things" to other teams in his career. Teams fear Framber Teams still fear Altuve/Bregman as well. Teams would fear Tucker if his leg grew back.
one of the few thing that was buried from the game: Framber got off the mound and pick up the ball in the infield and threw a strike to 1st base not once but twice! The amount of times we've seen Framber muffed these plays are more than any of us would like to see. Not just Framber, a lot of Astros pitchers can't throw the the ball to 1st on target. Good to see that from Framber. Hopefully it's a good sign for the future.
Yeah, I'll echo this. He was really sharp all-around last night except for the walks in the 9th that sort of unraveled things. Defensively, he was nails and usually he is not nails defensively.
Yordan is having a better year than him offensively and yet we still have multiple people consistently ask “is Yordan hurt” when he makes a few outs
It was weird to see. Framber actually took his time and threw the ball with composure and calmness. I'm so used to Framber frantically hurries to the ball, bobbly picks it up, then yeet the ball 2 feet wide or above the 1B's reach. Framber would then implodes after his own error lol.
