I read that he admitted to being a bad debater in his interview with Harris. Vance might actually turn out to be more polished and ready to debate. Calling your opponent creepy and weird is not going to go over so well on a debate stage, so Walz will need to bring something more substantive to not look out of his depth.
imagine making fun of an 80 plus year old man who was assaulted in his own home and accusing him of being gay. imagine being someone who never served in the military and saying that john mccain was not a war hero because he was captured. imagine making fun of a sitting governor after a plot to kidnap her was exposed. imagine saying that a US congressman who recently died was probably in hell.
Funny how quickly you judge A trend that started in 2001 is the blame of a governor in 2019? And what you are doing here - is just taking the most superficial analysis you can to support your political point. You've drank the koolaid bub and nothing is going to change your mind. You know what confirmation bias is? There's no other explanation you can think of other than to blame the governor who came into office 18 years later? Maybe.....there's another explanation? Spoiler
Well I guess what we can deduce from this recent wingnut posting spasm is that Walz has definitely lost the German immigrant, non-citizen, freakazoid, vote.
I watched the full speech and actually missed that (and yes, they are running an inclusive campaign for all Americans while Trump is only for MAGA). The statement that got the crowd to chant was this: "Make no mistake. Violent crime was up under Donald Trump. (Pause) That's not even counting the crimes he committed." Walz got the crowd to quiet down during that chant. It's rich to see MAGA complaining about this as an incitement (which it clearly wasn't) when Trump regularly said "lock her up". Why don't you watch the full speech (and Trump's full speech as well) and see for yourself how they are different instead of being fed what to think? Yep, back when Trump and Pence led our country chaos erupted everywhere. His final exit was watching his supporters beating cops, storming the Capitol, and threatening to kill his own Vice President and others while he sat back and watched.
I see some people are citing stats about Minnesota some of which appear to be misleading. I'm not sure about this net migration figure people are citing as Minnesota's population has grew fast from 2010 to 2020. It slowed down and declined in 2022 but is back to growing. https://usafacts.org/data/topics/pe...ion increased 12 out, average of 0.6% per year. Minnesota's per capita income in 2023 was $71,866 putting it 14th among states and ahead of TX at 24 and FL at 18. It is behind the national average of $76,329 but as noted ahead of most states. https://www.statsamerica.org/sip/rank_list.aspx?rank_label=pcpi1 Minnesota's unemployment rate in June 2024 is 2.9% which puts it well below the national rate of 4.3% and ahead of FL at 3.3% and TX at 4.0%
He's obviously addicted to social media and needs help, maybe his peers could assist weaning him off but they're probably in deep just as he is...
As the day progresses and we learn more about Walz, it's clear he is not the moderate many on the left claim and that's fine. Progressives have a place in our democracy. After listening to Shapiro, I am surprised he wasn't chosen but I am sure the party has data showing Walz will help more. It is shaping up to be an intriguing few months.
