No, what that says is starting with Walz, Minnesota jumped to a top 5 state for out-migration, something it has never been before, along with all the other stuff like top 5 crime rate increase, top 10 energy cost increase, per capita income tanking to below the national average for the first time, etc. It's not some random one year thing due to COVID. That's not how the Census numbers work, and all 50 states were affected by the pandemic, but for some reason MN has been coming out worse. Sure, it's where everything sparked off (riots), but if that's the case why didn't Walz do a better job of mitigating some of the effects that caused the state to gain these negative traits so quickly.

this will come out in the debate. before the speech today, people were calling Walz "grandpa" but he looked pretty young and energetic on the podium. this will allow JD Vance to call him out a bit easier and challenge him directly without being seen as a guy being mean to grandpa. we'll see. not sure of either of their debate skills. Walz skipped out on debating his republican opponent apparently but not sure the entire story behind that
