Lin never even got to real minutes before that stretch. If he got Jalen's playing time and opportunity it would been very similiar. Neither of them are consistent and they can catch lightning in a bottle every few games.

Comparing Lin to Green is always a weird one to me. I don’t get it. I’m pretty sure at a bare, bare minimum at this point Green will be a rotation player for a long time. I just don’t recall ever being happy with Lin as a starter for us.

While Rockets fans have mostly bad memories of Lin, he actually had a decent career as a 8th - 9th man until injuries diminished him.

Jalen's floor should be higher than that even if he keeps on his inconsistency.

Either Bari is 6-11 and Sengun is 6-10 or Bari is 7'. Bari looks a smidgen taller here.

Wonder what the Wiz has been working on all summer.

You don’t know that. None of us do. What we do know is he started 82 games for the Rockets 12-13 at 32 min a game and couldn’t crack 15 ppg and only had one 30 pt game. Their style, skillset, and abilities are nothing alike. Again not a proper comparison.

He didn't get the opportunity cuz there was a guy named James Harden here. He was playing off ball which was not his strong suit. Was a terrible match to begin with. Jalen wouldn't have many 30 point games if he played that role.

Huh? You mean if a player has talent that talent is somehow suppressed by other talented players? How do you explain the rest of Lin’s career? Did other players suppress his talent not allowing him to fully display them as well?

For the record he didn’t just play “off ball”. He was still the pg and had a lot of touches running high screen and rolls with Asik and iso opportunities beyond the arc. He had a combo guard role.

A player doesn’t have several great performances without talent and ability and not every player has achieved this. Lin certainly did not in his career.

Lin averaged 25 pts on 58% TS during his Linsanity stretch. He had some talent. Jalen's stretch is similar, although I would say Jalen is more talented/athletically gifted overall.

If Lin hasn't achieved it then neither has Jalen. Jalen is much more athletic and should technically be a much better player but his BBIQ is so low. Lin made up for it by being a much smarter player.

You are also looking at only points when you compare them. Lin had multiple games of putting up double digit assists as well. I wish Jalen could get double digit assists.
