Al Gore gave Clinton TN. Of course he lost the Presidency in part by not carrying it when he was at the top of the ticket.

    Safe choice.

Astronaut/fighter pilot may have been better for moderates and non-crackpot on the fence republicans. And he comes with a backup.

Kentucky gov would have been a bold choice but that brand of angry hillbilly gop voters are a hard nut to crack and flip. For some reason they love a rich spoiled yankee from NY. /shrug

As charismatic as he is, Shapiro would have been a mistake. Public opinion of Israel is too low right now and I’m not sure if America is ready to vote for a Jewish VP.

LMFAO Their play is to connect a 60 year old religious, white male farmer from Minnesota to California?

It is nearly 2,000 between California and Minnesota ...... that is going to work really well.

Hard to get excited about two lawyers potentially running deep state @ Washington, DC.. I could just see how right wing maga would get reinvigorated.

Instead they have a vet, a teacher and a governor VS the weird grifters that are on the opposing ticket. Maga had always had trouble running against every day Joe that Biden represented and Walsh looks to be that.

the fact that Shapiro was the runner up in the VP race would already be a bit of a boost in the state for Dems. He is kosher with four kids - probably not too keen on being VP anyway (or so it sounded per some posts here).

The less Jews are up in the White House, the less anti-Semitism is in our country. Don't let atw maga type trolls tell you otherwise - they are just trying to divide Dems by inciting racism. This is what Putin told them to do.

This probably isn't the right thread for it, but I want to highlight the implicit antisemitism in some of the right's support for Israel, too. Evangelicals do not care about Jews, per se. They care about the existence and expansion of Israel to further what they believe to be the apocalypse. It's why you'll never see support for a two-state solution from evangelicals and why they play into the Israeli right's hands. Netanyahu wants the West Bank because he thinks it should belong to Israel and evangelicals want it because they believe it fills a box on their Jesus Come Back bingo card.

What they don't say is that they think Jews will go to hell if they don't convert to Christianity when Jesus comes back. They are more than happy to use millions of Israelis as pawns in their game of end-times of chess. Their small image of God as one who can be coerced into the world through precise human interpretation of scripture justifies the logical ending of millions of Jews being cast into eternal torment.

Simply put, evangelical theology demands that Jews either convert or spend eternity in a lake of fire.

Clinton was ahead in Tennessee before he named Al Gore. I guess it would be considered a toss up, but the polling had Clinton +3 before Gore, and he won the election at +5.

Yeah because America has never boycotted the Olympics before...hello 1980 (inb4 that was in communist Russia though!).

You are a great role model to your son but I wouldn't want to compare him with Stalin. Like was Stalin making those sandwiches before or after he starved his people? Or was this after the mass arrests and sham trials/murders he conducted on his rivals?

Which makes this all the more hilarious/stupid to me.

Jews killed Jesus. The Torah doesn't even acknowledge Jesus. The Old Testament is filled with child sacrifice and references to moloch. Christians are called "goyem" and considered further away from God than Jewish people. So why the hell do Christians simp so hard for Israel is beyond me.

But at the same time, Jewish people and Muslims lived peacefully in the region for centuries. It wasn't until the Zionists, aka satanists that have infiltrated the Christian, Jewish, and even Islam faiths, had a plan in place to disrupt the region for their own monetary gains.

Interesting, but would make sense now remembering Clinton himself is from Arkansas. Republicans dominate the state, but Southern Democrats have been very successful in Presidential elections.

I'm replying to your super smart post with that "America doesn't boycott the Olympics that's crazy" notion, when it has happened before. Also who gives a damn if people boycott the Olympics? There is always a boycott every one for a number of reasons. I doubt they were hyped to watch anyway. This site is lucky to have such a smart poster like you, posting tweets from nobodies like you are ATW.
