As you might not be surprised to learn, 23&Me makes it clear that my Irish heritage comes with Scandinavian roots thanks to the Vikings, so now I'm forced to fire all my employees lest I further become the literal embodiment of Das Kapital.

We'll likely never know if that was a deciding factor, but yes, there is a segment of likely Democratic voters that would have been turned off by a man that served in the IDF particularly considering the Palestinian/Israeli conflict is in active war.

 

One of my friends is very proud of his Norwegian roots and while in Ireland we were talking to an old Irish guy and when my friend said "I'm an American but my grandparents came from Norway" The old Irish guy said "give back what you stole from us..."

 

To which your Norwegian friend shoulda said, "dude, we created and gave you Dublin."

 

And Waterford, Cork, Limerick and so on..

But if this election comes down to PA... this choice will be questioned.

 

If Harris went with Shapiro, the narrative would've been: "Harris only picked Shapiro because she wants to win Pennsylvania. Harris only cares about Pennsylvania/winning the election."

I'm glad Harris went with a likeable guy that speaks well and with no baggage. Keeping the theme of good vibes, positivity, and hope going. This is why Harris resonates with most Americans while Trump/Vance turns them off. MAGA is the party of hate.

The angry incel MAGAs can continue to blame others for their own shortcomings in life/lack of willingness to adapt- and wallow in their own negativity

 

If it comes down to PA, then Trump over performed.

Funny thing about Waterford. We were planning on visiting the crystal facRepublic. Week only to find out before we left that the company moved its factory to the Czech republic.

 

There is some truth to this.
