I posted his House voting record earlier in the thread. It's pretty moderate, but didn't include his actions as governor. I'll happily take a guy who is proud of providing free meals for kids in school and paid family leave to Minnesotans.
Yu can actually cook in a non-kosher oven, if the item is double wrapped in foil. Also you can use extreme heat to kosher ovens. you can also make silverware kosher by the same process. If my memory is correct, it is called toiveling. I worked as a director of dining services for a Glatt kosher facility for 10 years. We had a Mashgiach in both our dairy and meat kitchens. He is progressive - however mostly on topics that are less controversial. For example, he supports free lunches for all school children. He also believes that libraries should not be able to censor their content, so they should have both far right and far left content available. He is for more gun control, but mostly centered on expanded background checks and not eliminating the right to own guns. He is a supporter of Israel and has commented on supporting Jewish students on school campuses, but he also believes that the US should send aid to Palestinians and work towards two separate and completely independent states. He supports additional tax credits for single parents and households that make under a certain amount of money and have children. ....... So, he supports a lot of progressive programs and policies, but he tends to support the less controversial ones, and he also isn't obnoxious, so he is more palatable to most people.

I don't understand why sone people care if people don't give a damn about Israel. It is a foreign country we should have e no business meddling with.
