it feels like we have way more needs now than before the deadline. need a 1st baseman still, like 3 outfielders, and still need starting pitching. Terrible trade deadline for Dana.
Joe Espada is 17-32 in games decided by 2 runs or fewer. Very nearly losing every 2 out of 3 such games. An unheard of ratio for a team with a winning record. Simply unheard of.
Take a good look at Espada; don't think he will be around next season. Doubt Brown will either. Astro management has made way too many strategic mistakes.
Dana has sucked but we need to point a finger at Crane too. Who do you think pushed for Alemys Diaz? Dana wasn't even around when Diaz was here. It's obvious Dana just a puppet GM. Meanwhile Crane pushed to sign a washed up and still injured Verlander, a barely mediocre Graveman, and don't forget signed Brantley 12 mil for 15 games last season. He's too nostalgic for his own good.
