Me too, as far as catching blowback.

With this said, if JV can make it back and Kikuchi performs well the SP wont be an issue. The lack of bats will be an issue.

    Spot On

    I didn't see this post.

At this point I'm for bringing up Dezenzo to play 1B.

    Letting Yordan/Caratini/Singleton/Diaz split at DH

Letting Yordan play a lot more in LF and split time with Leon there.

Also if Leon is playing well letting him get some time in CF to give Meyers a break.

My guess is that Lance will probably pitch again someday, but I doubt that he will be any good. He will have missed over two straight years by that point. Maybe he can work out of the pen one day if nothing else. He's probably never going to be a reliable rotation piece though.

One has to wonder, if INSURANCE paying McCullers contract has something to do with shutting him down again.

I mean - if the insurance doesn't pay if he pitches, I could see them going....screw it....just give him until next year.

This may be a MONEY situation more than a WINNING BALL situation.

    Not following...

    Verlander
    Valdez
    Javier
    Brown
    Urquidy
    Blanco
    France
    Bielak

Even if you believed Garcia and McCullers were not coming back, that's still a good starting 5 with 3 quality spot starters for AAA.

At some point you just have to assume guys won't get seriously hurt. They had 10 starters on the 40 man and IL.

Did you think it's prudent to spend assets in the offseason on a player you may never need?

Even Christ knows what I said to be true. Let us be one with the Lord, Brother Radricky. I will start the Hail Mary's shortly.

If you assume you are only going to have 5 healthy starter then you invest in a low cost guy like Lorenzen. You can never have too much pitching.

Don't forget that the FA SP also needs to choose to come here.

JV, Framber, Javier, Brown, Urquidy, and France presumed healthy and Blanco and Arrighetti in AAA waiting for an opportunity and Garcia and McCullers were expected back about the ASB.

Most FA SP would probably look for a better opportunity with a better chance to make the rotation out of spring training.
