So if you know thats a unique situation why you bringing Bridges up like it meant something?

Value tends to go in waves, part of why the gobert price for example was so absurd was because it was the “going rate”, at least in my opinion

I know but thats why you don't use Bridges as a comparison since nobody but Knicks would offer that much for him.

Jalen Green, Cam and their picks back are prob the best offer Booker can get because getting their picks back means its all gonna be lottery if they rebuild. No other team will give them multiple lottery picks in return. Getting multiple low frps sound good but they dont really count for much. OKC for example has a bajillion low frps but their roster still made of SGA and their lotto picks as well as undrafted pickups like Lou Dort.

This is where I'm at, I really don't want Booker - Unless we already had an alpha #1.

I kinda feel like he's more of a really top end role player than a true star. He needs someone to play off of.
He's a great shooter, good passer but not someone you are gonna run the offense thru.

Upgrade over Jalen? Absolutely (at least the current Jalen). Better shooter, finisher & defender.

I just can't "solve all PHX problems with the cap & lack of draft assets and give them a Harden haul for him and I damn sure don't want that $50m albatross Durant contract tagging along too. They can figure something else out with that .... And there's his ~$49m cap hit too.

My best offer would be Green, Brooks, Uncle Jeff their 25 swap & their own 27 pick - the only way I send out the 29 pick is with top 4 protection. Sengun, Amen, Cam, Jabari, Tari & Reed are out of the question.

You want control of your own future - You can have it for a price.

I'd rather trade for Jordan Clarkson than for Devin Booker

A 6 seed with three dudes making $50m each .... Two of them you will find it difficult to give away with their contracts.

They can't win in the West, who the hell wants to trade for an old Durant or an ineffective Beal?

$239,553,154 in salary, #2 in spending - 2nd apron penalties incoming .... and they can't just dump salary

Make sense….give them Green, Cam, Jabrari, and 2 firsts and they may bite.

Donovan Mitchell is an infinitely more capable defender than Devin Booker not sure where you come up with your position. Yes New York and many other teams were linked to Mitchell (Houston included) IF HE WERE AVAILABLE! I think its safe to say that Cleveland is in no rush to move him since they are giving him 50Ms per year through 2026. It takes two to tango.

The Rockets have problems with self creation anytime Sengun or Jalen are off the court. Dillon is my guy and he is alot of things, but self creator he is not. Cam can break down a defense, but he's not looking to pass so it becomes routine defense when everyone knows he's going to duck his head and bulldoze or take a contested 3. Same with Amen he can break down a defense, but with no outside shot whatsoever it allows more gameplanning for his strengths. Jabari - nope. Reed? Maybe. Connective passing is a completely different conversation. Devin Booker is not a "much better shooter" -- Donovan Mitchell takes and makes more 3's per game. Every other shooting stat is too similar to make that type of confident proclamation especially when Booker is taking 68% of his shots inside the arc and a whopping 23% from 10-16 feet.

Mitchell is 2 points higher on usage not sure how that becomes a "ballhog" role when he's the best player on his team by a mile. Put Mitchell on a team with KD and Beal and that team would win more games than they have with Booker. In the HISTORY of this sport Donovan Mitchell is #50 in BPM! Where is Devin Booker? #211. So something is not adding up with your claim that Booker is a better offensive player and defensive player.

Don't offer them any players of substance, just their own future draft picks and worthless players with expiring contracts like Jalen Green.

If they don't want to do the deal, fine. Those picks are going to do nothing but get more valuable while the guys they have on their team get less valuable by the day.

The problem with this again is treating BPM as a be all and end all "metric" which I'd be hesitant to do. For example, according to BPM Hakeem Olajuwon is a lesser player than: John Stockton, James Harden (LOL,) Manu Ginobli, Andrei Kirilenko, Jimmy Butler, Anthony Davis, David Robinson (literal blasphemy,) CP3, Kevin Garnett, Clyde Drexler (I love the Glide, but nope,) Charles "No Rings" Barkley, Dame Lillard... If you want to make that statement that's on you, I personally wouldn't dare.

Is John Stockton a top 10 player of all time? Yes according to all time BPM.
Are CP3 and David Robinson better than Larry Bird? Yes according to all time BPM.
Is Kyle Lowry better than 2 time NBA champ and Jordan Killer Isiah Thomas? Yes according to all time BPM.

I'm starting to seriously doubt the validity of BPM as a be all and end all of player evaluation if I'm honest...

Mitchell also enjoys a higher career PER, he has about the same win shares in 130 less games, Mitchell is +6 on VORP for their career(s) thus far, has a higher PIE, and a higher WAR.
