Fisher ran such a cool race. What a masterpiece. Almost beat all the Ethiopians. That would have been awesome.

I was extra excited this race, bc I’ve been following Fisher since his high school days when my nephew competed against him at nationals in cross country and on through the NCAAs.

His 5K might even be stronger.

This is team competition and that’s the Japanese coaches fault. That said Teddy Riner is pretty dam big and towers over even the super heavyweight.

Wow.... Us 4x400 mixed relay team just got upset by the Netherlands. The same us team that demolished their heat race yesterday and set a world record.

4x400 mixed closing finish was amazing. Looked like we had it wrapped up but that Dutch woman with the long stride just went to another level on the final stretch.

US runs the 3rd fastest time in History...and loses. They set the WR in the prelims. Bol ate the US girl UP. US anchor leg runs 49.2. Bol ran a 47.9. That is crazy.

On a personal note I once fought an open weight division. I was the lightest at 150lbs the next lightest was 200lbs and the heaviest was 340lbs.

I played the 340 lb guy. It didn’t go well for me. At one point I had him off his feet but couldn’t complete the throw. According to people watch I just disappeared and was flattened under him like a Wile Coyote under a boulder.

I did though throw for win a 300 lb guy in an exhibition match at another tournament.

I’ll have to watch it again but it looked Bol was in 4th and the Netherlands might finish off the podium. She just turned on the jets and passed the last few runners to win with room to spare.

That women's 100m final was a blowout. Silver and bronze was great for the USA since 2nd and 3rd were the only thing up for grabs.
