The same thing that's caused him to be a "Dad" so many times already, each time with a different Mother, is a big part of the problem. Lack of maturity & fockass
If Jalen Green makes a big enough leap to become better than Sengun that would make us a really really good team. It is objectively a great outcome for us. Great for the rockets and rockets fans.
Oh boy here come the extremists with their "views" --- Plow I really thought you were above the ignorance. Enjoy the "vibes".
Sign me up. Reaching the finals is a possibility if Green becomes numero uno. Will need a Tres to win the Finals.
Twice. "So many times" is twice. Y'all genuinely can't do anything but bullshit about the kid, can you?
Tbh there are an excessive amount of threads over who will be our franchise player / number 1 / etc. We need to start talking about who will be the sidekicks and then role players. Team building is deeper than just 1 superstar and a few jags.
This Why do some have no patience? Spacing !! 1) Sengun : Sengun needs spacing around the perimeter in order to get best results with Sengun in the post. Less defenders clogging up the paint allows more freedom for him to operate the post up, rebound put back. Less defenders in the lane allows Sengun to work from the free throw line as the hub of the offense, having four 3-pt shooters along the perimeter....less defenders nipping at his heels and surrounding him. SPACING !! also helps 2) Jalen Green: Benefits from 3-pt shooters scattered along the 3-pt line. Udoka knows this fact to be true and has tried to address this flaw by bringing in Reed Sheppard, A.J. Griffin and Jack McVeigh. Green will be able to set up above the break 3, call for a screen, shooters in the corners, Amen in the "Dunker Spot," JG4 pins his ears back and running downhill and having the defense at our mercy.....kick out to shooter or elevate, contort, get a bucket and the foul. If teams double or triple cover him at half court this go around, the outside shooters should make them pay. Going with a rotation greater than 7 guys will help prevent the heavy fatigue of last March. __________________ Three groups/individual want Jalen Green gone now, before the season: 1) Sengun only Fans want Green gone, before Jalen shows he can duplicate what he did in March last year, with consistent shooters on the perimeter. Don't want Green surpassing Sengun as number 1, as the offense will be near top 5 in ORtg (only Boston had a better ORtg than Houston in March) and the switching defense had the Rockets closer to top 5 DRtg (in March). So if Sengun hits 3's (or sits), supporting cast hits 3's. Things open up. 2) Mobley mob want Jalen Green gone now, because if Jalen Green starts sporting his man body (no longer teenage body) and starts dominating. Spacing due to import of 3-point shooters helps open lanes. More dunks and easier layups because of less clutter in the lane = higher FG%. "Cause and Effect." 3) Udoka: wants to be 6th seed or better so bad, that he would deal Jalen Green now. He would sell his own grandmother for playoff showings. Getting off to a quick start leads towards that goal. _______ JG4 and Sengun showed glimpses of PnR working between the two. Sengun might start showing he can hit 3's. Everything else falls in place then. Let's see if they can find just the right mix.
You want patience, but in the Rockets franchise history there have only been 4 players drafted in the top 10 to fail to have at least one season >0.100 WS/48 and Jalen is one of them while more recent picks like Jabari and Amen are not in that list. He's been one of the worst picks in franchise history..... patience is one thing, but the kid has to produce at some point.
I don’t know if I’d even want that. If let’s say they have equal impact next season, I’d prefer to make Sengun the engine of the offense (playing through him) because an interior game is more consistent whereas we have to give room for a perimeter player to be less predictable (thus higher highs and lower lows). I do think we’re going to have to have Sengun operating from higher up in the high post or perimeter to let Green attack the paint relentlessly. Depends on what our opponent is good/bad at defending. I’m expecting Sengun to serve crow almost as much as Green next season. I think Sengun’s jumper is going to improve and raise the ceiling of his offense tremendously. 23/9/7 for Sengun with 33% 3PT shooting 25/5/5 for Green with 36% 3PT shooting Gonna be a hell of a season boys. Kudos to OP though for such a ballsy prediction.
It would be great if Jalen could become the best player on the team but he has a long way to go to get there. He has to be consistent.
In this instance "ballsy" is just another way to say stupid. It's like betting on Army winning this years college football playoffs kind of "ballsy"
My bad. I thought I'd read on here that it was three, maybe four Au contraire then..I had a longterm deal with a woman 15 years my senior starting in my 20's, and it was a great thing for me. Rock on.
That crap is so far beneath you my guy. I'd expect it from the band of troglodytes running around here, but not from you. Sign of the times I guess.
