Sengun is ready for a breakout season where he will be the teams second option for a long time. Protect him at all costs. I see Jalen Green as becoming the numero Uno and making the all star team this season. Does anyone else here predict playoffs?
Oh boy. I like it though just because of the hypothetical crow eating that would happen if this became a reality. The board will melt if for some magical reason Jalen Green becomes a all-star before Sengun. Like the vitriol and discourse here would be top tier entertainment. I dou t it happens.
I look at it as win/win, either the blind faith of the crazy cultists pays off and Jalen Green finally becomes a starting caliber player..... or he continues to be terrible and 6 months from now the team trades him for a protected 2nd round pick and we get rid of the cancer that is the cult of Jalen.
We both know that even if Jalen did make an all-star game before Alpi, there'd be no crow eating. The hatred would ramp up, they'd probably blame it on a "gay agenda" then the racism accusations would come out (because everybody knows that white people experience racism ALL the time ) and there'd be at least 10 threads an hour on why the all-star selectors are idiots and Alpi should be first ballot HOF and All-star starter... There'd be almost no celebration of a Rocket getting the nod for all-star, because he's not the Rocket they want to support. Ever.
I mean it's a meh thread, but is it any worse than the other threads around? At the very least we are listing them in order rather than everyone being equally franchisy players, which feels a bit too communist for me personally.
Would love to see JG reach his potential, that's a number one player on any team. Will he is the question but if it happened the Rockets would benefit. This 4th season is crucial for him. Hoping for the best. Maybe being a dad will do the trick?
