There is no shift. She has been black her whole life. She went to Howard University and joined AKA the oldest black sorority in our nation. She didn't try and hide that from anyone. She has been Indian her whole life. She can bring up her legit connection to her Indian heritage. That isn't running away from or hiding her connection to her father. For Donald to claim that she "became black" is an issue with Trump. It isn't anything manipulative on Harris' part It isn't a shift for Harris to connect with both.
