Eh some parts I like some I don't. I like that they let them play off the ball. You should be able to beat your man to a spot and disrupt their play. I don't like the ridiculous hand checking while defending a player with the ball. Defense is about anticipation and effort you shouldn't be able to just hold a guy around the waste to prevent him from driving.

Unfortunately I do not see that changing.

The NBA has become too dominant an entity and too business driven an entity to really become pure....

Team USA could be cooked once Bron and KD are done and retire

KD can barely finish an NBA season, I mean Carmelo could still play in the Olympics if he wanted.

But players are never going to save themselves for the Olympics once their NBA careers are done.

I guess they are the last ones that played in NBA back when defense was still allowed.

Me too. Reminds me of the NBA glory years (80's and 90's).

I don't get why people think "FIBA RULES" are that different, as far as I can tell it's just shorter 3 (quicker closeouts) , trapezoid paint and a higher pitched buzzer noise

    1. Basketball
    2. Soccer

Soccer has never caught on in North America. But basketball is big everywhere and worldwide. We have over 4 billion fans in China alone.

Because Jabari plays like a robot. His movement does not look fluid.

Team Japan got absolutely jobbed by the FIBA refs vs Team France earlier today. They did everything in their power to prevent the upset.

The Japanese player who caused the 4-point play at the end to allow France to tie completely lost his mind. He had no business contesting the shot so hard.

EDIT: I know it was just France vs. Japan, but the TV announcer was terrible about projecting excitement capturing that moment.
