He did look pretty lethal yesterday. Throwing 101 with minimal effort. Making Yanier look like a little leaguer. Wish any of our current 3 in the back of the bullpen had that consistent ability right now... (including Abreu only because he has momentary lapses... and his stuff it just too good to not be dominating every appearance).
The Marlins need to just be absorbed by MLB. They are literally nothing but a farm team for the other 30 teams in baseball. It is so sad - at least the Royals and A's will have like a 3-5 year run as a playoff team around their decade of suckage. The Marlins now are in that death spiral where they are just bad all the time and then trade of the good players they have to get even worse.
indeed. I remember hearing it being broken on ESPN's BASEBALL TONIGHT! Peter Gammons in rare form. (for the young kids): That used to be a show where they'd have nightly highlights and it was pretty much must-watch in the 90's. I actually still use MLB tonight (on MLBN) to fill that urge now... so its not completely escaped the consumption.
Gosh I loved Baseball Tonight every evening in the summer. MLB Network has never been able to duplicate that
Huascar Brazoban? This Dominican dude literally has the same last name as one of the PED's that baseball players use to throw harder.... They are actually now naming their future ball players after steroids? That is metal as ****
And they lack the proud fan base. At least the other small markets, at one point, had one. The Marlins have never had one... and have even less of one in the new ballpark which was supposed to "revitalize" the team and area (and have done neither). A consistently well marketed, well-invested team would work in southern florida. Why do I know this? Because somehow hockey has worked in southern florida. (in multiple markets no less). Its ass backwards when the hockey teams in Tampa and Miami find ways to have more sustained success, and better season ticket bases, than the baseball teams.
Yes but also, it’s entirely true. There is nothing on this market that remotely equates to either one of those guys. Nothing close.
If we don't have another deal coming, yesterday's deal sucks even worse. If we made that deal we should be going ALL IN
