He gets maxed even if he is anywhere near 57-58TS which is very hard to do unless he significantly ups his shooting. Jaylen Brown and Ant has never even hit 60TS in their careers.
League average TS% for shooting guard for the past two seasons was 57. Jaylen Brown was 58. Ant was 56, 57. Jalen Green was 54. What struck me was that these guys were very consistent season by season. Edwards' TS% has been pretty much the same since his 2nd season. Brown wasn't very high until his 4th season and then he kept at 58 for 5 consecutive seasons. It seems that once your game matures, you don't fluctuate that much. Hopefully Jalen will have a leap like Brown in the 4th season.
I'm not sure that's true, if Jalen has another failure of a season, they won't offer him a contract at all, so anything positive they could get is better than nothing, which is what they get if they don't trade him... also it's not like teams will be offering much to begin with.
Trading green now would be pointless. All of those high picks who flopped/2nd draft types only got back multiple 2nd round picks. We don’t need that, and even if there’s a small chance jalen develops i would rather keep him and see
I agree about not trading him now, but if he's still the same awful player he's been his whole career in December, you flip him for the 2nd rounders.
"I need to see Jalen Green do THIS for an entire season" Yes! I as well would like to have a HOF player on this team.
Despite your strawman, no one expects Jalen to play at the level of his fluke 8 game hot streak for a whole season.... they just ask that a one way player like him produce on offense somewhere near league average for his position on offense for a full season rather than producing at a level near the absolute worst in the league. You keep trying to make that sound unreasonable with strawman BS, but it's not going to work.... and more importantly, your spin won't help your guy get another contact here. He'll need to perform at a decent level for the first time in his career if he wants another contract here. Nothing else will substitute for that.
few can also create as many missed shots as him 8th last season in missed shots 54th in avg points scored per game
That's the problem with casuals, they don't realize that if a player has an elite ability to get separation, it just makes it that much more pathetic that they are one of the least efficient scorers in the NBA.
You are trying too hard to make people who are critical of Jalen unhinged. There are a lot of normal people who have measured criticisms of Jalen but you seem to get so easily triggered you created an entire persona that dedicates hours of your daily life to trying to create a caricature of a unhinged Jalen hater. It's insane dude. That is an level of dedication to Jalen fandom that is near psychiatric ward levels
I'm not sure the second of those is as bad as you think it is. There are 30 teams, so if he's top 60 then he's at least good enough to be the second best scorer on a team.
LOL it shows that he is really the one of the best in missing shots no such excuse as "but he's also one of the best in scoring"
Explain how "54th in points scored" shows he's one of the best in missing shots? As I said "I'm not sure the SECOND one of those is as bad as you think." I wasn't discussing his missed shots at all, so your intellectual dishonesty aint gonna fly.
This is like showing me clips of Ferrari videos telling me how fast and smooth and otherworldly experience it is to drive one, but my problem is that my car is not starting 2/3 of the days I want to drive it.
Of course - that is on them though, I mean we could theory craft and argue, but we don't really know what they are looking for, or what the other team's are giving up. So, I just will hang out and hope. DD
Find the right mechanic. Supercars are notorious for needing insane amounts of maintenance and upkeep.
