Trump tried to pull a Maduro in 2020. Really should not be given a chance to do his shenanigans again.
Oh shut the hell up. You know and I know that at the time you would have been blaming Biden if gas prices were 6 dollars a gallon. The only thing you are upset with is that we didn’t buy gas from Putin who I’m sure you love. You also at the same time I’m sure oppose the idea of moving away swiftly from fossil fuels… which is the best way for America to finally stop funding dictators around the world. I’m sure you don’t support a green new deal type of investment and you don’t want high gas prices. Your politically motivated finger pointing has no merit coming from your propaganda cannon of pro Trump garbage.
This is why I've said before that even if the science behind greenhouse gases was completely bunk there is still plenty of reasons to phase out use of fossil fuels. How oil has been used to prop up dictatorships from the Middle East, South America and other parts of the World is one of those reasons.
No he’s just a political activist who thinks people here are ignorant enough to believe that this dictator he hopes they don’t know enough about is a liberal woke Democrat. It’s classic gaslighting. There’s nothing liberal about being a dictator and overturning the will of the people just as the Republican Party is not representative of family values when they nominate and worship as a false idol a man who is found liable for sexual assault and a convicted felon… in which those felonies are tied to cheating on his wife with a p*rn star. Party labels mean nothing. Leadership policies and actions committed are what matter. Maduro is a strongman dictator. Exactly what Trump aspires to be openly. Enough said.
Still intersected in facts ? Here are the facts: The US and Venezuela had a deal. Venezuela agreed to take steps toward holding a free and fair election in exchange for lifting oil sanctions. But after 6 months, Maduro still has not lived up to his obligations and the US gave him one last warning before reinstating sanctions in April. Discussion: You stated you wanted to see outrage and I asked what else you would have done. The Biden admin tried to entice Maduro to change his behavior by temporary lifting sanctions but when he wouldn't (another clear sign he cares nothing about the people's economic well-being), they reinstated the sanctions. What would you want the US to do other than calling for outrage and protests from afar, which wouldn't impact a dictator's behavior?
I think it's clear he has little interest in facts or lacks the ability to recognize and distinguish them.
There was no coup. Biden simply was not going to win and donors were dropping out. So they chose a more favorable candidate, why is that so complicated for you?
tl;dr like with Iran and Ukraine, the Biden admin severely miscalculated the situation, leading to misery and death
It's difficult to take someone's opinion seriously if seven sentences are too much to read. No wonder tweets are your preferred form of communication.
Call it whatever you want and helps you feel better. Biden insisted he was the nomination until he came down with 'Covid'. The DNC and the donors do not decide. The people who voted decides. This might be an odd concept for you in this Republic. But yes, Biden did indeed decide to step down after the DNC and donors decided who was going to take over. Transparency is not a democrat strong point.
