Interesting....thought Finnegan was a rental as well. Would Houston prefer to trade more for term or prefer rental?
Would be a great trio to get. Probably take something like Paredes: Melton, Matthews, Leon, Blubaugh, Hicks Fedde: Ullola, Baez, Barber Finnegan: Chas, Fleury, Gordon, Knorr
Without a doubt he is Just like Dubon is an excellent utility guy But when people want to make them more than what they are, it wouldn't end great
Depends on what that prospect cost is obviously But I would think they would rather move a little more for Finnegan in this instance, especially if the prospects they are moving are guys that were in the system before Dana took over
Right, and not much more imo. Love that he’s had success in his PH opportunities, but I would not expect more with more playing time. Keep him where he’s been.
Yeah I guess I was wrong on that one. We really have to sign a decent 1b. Singleton is not going to cut it for a WS contender. His OPS against left handers is absolutely atrocious. At the very least, we have to find a platoon partner that can hit LH. This year Caratini is over 800 against LH, but it is a very small sample size.
Tucker gives us length thru the first 5 batters. Get a first baseman to give us 6, I think that's a winning formula. Pena, Meyers and insert platoon player is adequate for the bottom 3rd of the order.
Finnegan signed thru 2025. That's gonna cost a little more than a rental. Floro would be a rental, they would not demand very much for him. One decent prospect, probably not someone within our top 10. So yeah, you're on the right track with your thinking here.
The ****?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!!?!!!?!!???!!?!!?!!?!?!!???!!?!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!?!??!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!!!!?!?!?!?
Wonder about Mark Canha. He's been punishing left handed pitching the last two years. Singleton has been at least passable vs right handed pitching. Canha can also play left field. Canha and Flaherty shouldn't be too expensive in prospect cost.
It's not like he's a rental so acquiring him for next few years. Unless he's getting packaged with Taillon so Houston can give better/more prospects lol Joking aside, if not Houston, better Chicago then Texas, NY, or LA. Hopefully we get Diaz.
I'd prefer Mountcastle. He hit 33 HRs in 2021, seems like someone who could really benefit from the short porch in left.
