Canada vs. Greece right now on CNBC

Current Rocket Dillon Brooks is playing for the Canadians. Also, former Rocket and the “Greek T-Mac” Spanoulis is the head coach of Giannis’ team.

Jack McVeigh came up strong, too. 13pt and 3/6 shooting
Brooks showing up in FIBA again. 14pts and 3/4 3PT shooting

Garuba got some burn. Llull with 17.

Patty Mills 19 pts and 3/6 pt shooting, showing up over-powered in Olympics, again

Theis 18/7 in win v Japan
Schroder with some light work scoring 13
    Kostas P with 17pt and 3/6 3PT shooting
Olynyk didn’t shoot well, but contributing other ways as always

That team-leading +30 against an experienced Spanish team is solid.

FIBA has become a place for borderline starlets and would-bes like Brooks to shine.

Wasn't he traded here and sent elsewhere?

Like Derek Fisher was a Rocket for a few hours but thank the lord never played.

Depends what you mean by "here." If you mean Clutchfans, then yes I'd say many know and watch basketball, but probably have very little knowledge about the Olympics outside of the USA competitors (much like most Americans know very little of anything outside of America for the most part.) If you meant Turkey, then no, judging by the majority of the Turkish SOF's (there are a couple good eggs) I'd say no, they probably don't watch or know much basketball at all and probably only watched soccer until Alpi got drafted to the NBA.

Blah, turkish society just this year begin to hear about sengun. After soccer the second popular sport in turkey is womens volleyball. Basketball has maybe 3th or 4th sport that turks might follow. All turkish SOF s you saw around are pretty knowledgeable about basketball.
