@KingCheetah "Can Kamala Take the Money … Legally?" https://althouse.blogspot.com/2024/07/can-kamala-take-money-legally.html excerpt: SARAH ISGUR: It definitely won't be resolved until well after the election if it's ever resolved at all... [And Harris either] gets $96 million in the Harris campaign [or]... $96 million in the DNC coffers to help the Harris campaign. And... probably this $96 million is just not make or break for the Harris team or for the Trump team to prevent the Harris team. LAWPROF DEREK MUELLER: That's, that's probably right. Although I would point out, and this is the slightly cynical take —right? — you know, we, we do have a candidate running who, uh, was, uh, convicted of felonies for intentionally misrepresenting paperwork relating to campaign finance funds. So if the Harris campaign is going in saying, like, we're just gonna sort of ignore the law and do what we think and not seek an advisory opinion and move ahead — not that we're in great precedent to think about those situations — but that there, there are other legal consequences that come down the line. Usually when we think about the FEC levying fines, it's, you know, the Obama campaign accidentally accepted $20,000 from non-citizens. And so therefore it has to figure out a way of dealing with it. You know, this is a, this is a pretty aggressive and large large move. Again, I, I don't think there's an accident.... So I don't, right, again, I don't think there'll be criminal charges, but it's, it's the, the, the one thing that's interesting in the back of my mind to think about, oh, if we're intentionally bringing forward these things, what might happen? But I think you're right, Sarah, at the end of the day, I don't think it's getting resolved before the election is the point. And then we'll see what happens at the end. more at the link
First set of data from the NYT poll after Biden's exit: From 9 points down to a virtual tie. He had led among registered voters by nine percentage points over Mr. Biden in the post-debate poll. Ms. Harris was faring better among groups that Mr. Biden had been the weakest in, especially younger voters and nonwhite voters. At the same time, some Democrats fear she might not retain the same strengths that Mr. Biden has had among older voters, for whom the poll does show some erosion of Democratic support. The poll showed Ms. Harris garnering about 60 percent support from voters under 30 and Hispanic voters, groups Mr. Biden had consistently struggled with. Among voters under 45, Ms. Harris was ahead by 10 percentage points, less than three weeks after Mr. Trump had held a narrow edge with that group over Mr. Biden. .... We spoke with 1,142 registered voters across the country from July 22 to 24, 2024. The poll’s margin of sampling error among registered voters is plus or minus 3.3 percentage points.
Yes, I'm sure paying teachers poverty wages leads to great education. The greatest the world has ever seen!
republicans’ October surprise is going to be Hunter Biden’s iPad containing a video of him smoking weed
I think we're on the same page here, just using different words. It is extremely tasty though. Best steaks I've ever cooked. Or eaten.

Biden's administration has let me down on numerous occasions. None are perfect. You want to keep researching, be my guest. Here's what the Humane Society has to say about Trump and Biden when it comes to animal protections, FWIW. While you're researching animal protections. you might as well research the environment they live in. Let me know how that goes. Only one of them has gone around ranting about windmills and pretending to care about "the birds" while shilling for the fossil fuel industry, which was my point. If Kamala starts doing that, well, I'll rethink my vote.
