I'm late to the complain train. Why the hell is Aledyms Diaz getting time at 1B? He's a back-up only, if that. We've already been down the path of washed up Cuban players...
Yeah, starting Diaz feels like the Espada we know and didn't exactly love a few weeks ago. I don't mind having Diaz around, but I don't really want him to play right now either...
Astros are looking for a cheap lightning in a bottle to platoon with Singleton. Unless he performs, he won't be an Astro in 3 weeks.
If they're looking at the back of his baseball card, he wouldn't be starting games unless explosive diarrhea took out anyone capable of playing 1st base.
I was excited when I thought I wouldn't have to see Aledmys Diaz in an Astros uniform again. And here we are, sigh.
Who would your preferred emergency backup IF be? I thought Hensley had potential a year or so ago...that sure didn't ****in' work out. Kessinger? Can't say that he's distinguished himself outside of a AAAA guy. What I don't understand is the "call him up and start him because it's a LHP against the A's"
I'm not sure I just have Diaz fatigue. If the Astros trade for a 1B and/or OF it lets Dubon be that guy. I still like him in the lineup everyday, so it doesn't matter to me where he plays.
Once Tucker comes back from shin replacement surgery, we could platoon Dubon and Singleton at 1B. Then Dubon can play some OF as well, he needs to be in the lineup at least half the time, maybe even a little more than that.
Unless your genius self has figured it out...I have absolutely figured out your "bunch of morons" Good Luck!
4+ years of time, from what I'm looking at? https://www.baseball-reference.com/players/f/francty01.shtml Are we wrong?
