    The officer only activated his body-worn camera after the shooting. The other deputy had activated his camera when he arrived at the scene, according to charging documents filed against Grayson in Sangamon County Court.

    Grayson allegedly discouraged his partner from retrieving a medical kit to render aid to Massey after the shooting because he allegedly thought the injuries were too severe to revive her, according to prosecutors.

    In the video, Grayson tells the second deputy that "she's done" when he says he's going to get his med kit immediately after Massey is shot.

    "No, head shot, dude. She’s done. You can go get it, but that’s a headshot," Grayson said.

    The second responding deputy still proceeded to render aid to Massey. According to a statement from the Sangamon County Sheriff’s Office, "Deputies immediately administered first aid until EMS arrived.

    When Grayson makes his way back into the home, he asks another deputy who has since entered, "Is there anything we can do for her?" The deputy responds, "No."

    "All right, I'm not even going to waste my med stuff then," Grayson says.

    The deputy asks Grayson, "Where's the gun?"

    "No, she had boiling water and came at me with boiling water," Grayson says.

    When Grayson leaves the house, a member of law enforcement standing outside asks him if he's OK.

    "Yeah I'm good. This f------- b---- is crazy," he responds and walks to his vehicle shortly afterward.

    I dislike bad cops. They need a lot more rigorous training for these individuals and they need to start carrying liability insurance. Geez.

    All things considered, it was fortunate that the second officer's body cam was on.
    Since there is video proof, he won't be able to get away with it.

    Prosecutors alleged that after Grayson allowed Massey to move a pot of water heating on the stove and she set it on a counter, Grayson then “aggressively yelled” at Massey over the pot and pulled his 9 mm pistol. Massey then put her hands in the air, declared “I’m sorry” and ducked for cover before being shot in the face. Grayson also discouraged the other deputy from getting his medical kit, prosecutors said.

    Rigorous training is not the issue here.



    Dave Grossman's course is one of the most popular courses police departments utilize around the country. His training is unhinged. You need to learn how they are trained.

    It's not that they aren't trained enough. It's that they are trained to believe any unexpected movements should make you have muscle memory to unload center of mass.

    This man is also a fraud. Never been in combat in his entire life though he used his military experience to enhance his credentials.

    Shown it's not they aren't trained enough. The problem is they are trained to unload their magazine without second thought.

    No amount of training can fix that kind of hateful person.

    And that's not to say this was strictly racial - many bad cops are actively looking for opportunities to take a human life regardless of race, they also think that badge shields them from the consequences.

    We're just fortunate that his partner had his camera rolling and that piece of shiit likely spends the rest of his days in prison.

    I'd honestly prefer he be taken out back and shot like a rabid dog .... or maybe even a public execution. He most certainly earned it.
