Team USA is still relying on 40 y/o Lebron and ancient KD and Curry…the new wave of American talent has not stepped up to the plate

Tatum or Anthony Edwards are the best American players from the new wave, and no disrespect to them, but it’s a big step down from the dominance we’re used to…especially with someone like Tatum

Wait Booker is CHECKS NOTES 1 for 5…I’ve been terribly unimpressed by him so far in this. I get it’s not NBA games and that everyone is coming for Team USA all the time. But, still….

I remember when we had the likes of prime D-Wade coming off the bench…and Melo was an absolute bucket when it came to international play

it’s just not the same anymore

Bothers me that we’re relying sooooo heavy on really old guys…and the younger guys aren’t giving Kerr a reason to sit them down. Also turnovers KILLLLLLL MEEEEE!!! :)

I feel like Tyrese Haliburton and White are a waste on this team

passing up Jaylen Brown after Kawhi leaves is perplexing to me

I also remember idiots on this forum saying they didn't need Wade on the team. They were DEAD wrong!

I’d like a gold medal. Holliday is my favorite player on this team by far.

I think they all care…I see that when someone makes a great play and they all get up to celebrate it. We exported basketball (like baseball) to the world, and they’re clearly getting good at it :) I would ASSUME the intensity from Team USA on the court will improve once the Olympics start. I would ASSUME all of those guys would love a gold medal.

From viewing the box score, Germany might have won going away if Schroeder had his normal FIBA game.

Question for people who watched today's game against Germany: Do you still think Team USA has a >75% chance of winning gold?

If they call the original Dream Team out of retirement to play for them, they might have a better chance. :D

You can literally trace the origin of the explosion of European (esp. Spain), Canadian (Raptors in 95, RIP Vancouver), South American (esp. Argentina), & Oceania / Australian basketball as well as Chinese Basketball Association to 92 Dream Team in Barcelona.

Balkans / former Yugoslavia states were always pretty good.

Derrick White is absolutely the right pick over Jaylen Brown - watch him on defense and rebounding and moving the ball v S Sudan in the second half.

I still don't get where "5th guy who makes dribble penetration with the ball in his hands " is really incrementallly that useful for the US.
