That is very likely correct. Some seriousness is aimed at the audience that believes in them. It's also not an accident (though not necessarily coordinated) that these guys are all synchronized, as if there is a single head troll directing them. Sometimes, we refer to this as "talking points" from a political body, which isn't necessarily an actual political body such as the RNC, but the Twitterverse. Afterward, we do have Q, and you never know who's vulnerable.

On a serious note, Bill Ackman is a fraud.

Sure it’s not how he wanted to go out. I’m sure he wanted to go out at the end of his second term with historians singing his praises. There were a lot of things that could’ve prevented that from happening notably he could’ve lost this election.

Again Biden couldn’t have been forced out of running by DNC rules but no that doesn’t mean he has to continue to run. democrats and others have the right to criticize Biden and say he shouldn’t be running. It’s funny how now people who have been complaining about free speech being suppressed are acting as though democrats saying Biden shouldn’t run is an assault on democracy.

The ultimate decision was his. My guess was that with him getting COVID and having to leave the trail was what finally convinced him.

Good for Joe, being the Prez takes aging to a whole new level and its clear that 2020 Joe and 2024 Joe are not the same, you can see it in his walk and mannerisms. He took some time to go over HIS decision and decided it was time, not many politicians would have done that. He passed some great legislation such as the infrastructure bill and dedicated his life to the USA.......................and what are trumps first words, he`ll go down as the worst prez of all time LOL......sorry Donald, you have that position on lockdown, so classy

Some people are mad that the party turned on him but I don't look at it that way, they had to make some tough choices, did it sting, yes it did but you wont ever see the gop do something as honest and transparent............wow, a politician doing something that is best for its country and party..........what a friggin concept

Idk about that last part, but could there possibly be a blue wave if Dems play their cards right?

The loyalist children will get over it. The true people at fault here are Biden and his handlers. They were either too incompetent to realize he was done, or too dishonest.

This is the #1 benefit for the Democrats in this move. It signals to every moderate that they haven't thrown in the towel completely on being the adults in the room.

Kamala has a nice roster for potential VP with Kelly, Shapiro, and Beshear…all 3 infinitely better than JD Vance

they wanted to hang Trump’s previous VP, and his current one was a never-Trumper who called him an opioid and Hitler just a few years ago before embarking on the right wing grift

I don't think I'm going to live to see another election like 1984 or even 2008.

This is uncharted waters, so anything could happen, but on the whole I think we're going to live in this thin-margin hellscape, with every election resting on 5 or 6 digits worth of turnout in a couple of states, until something breaks catastrophically.

You have to reorganize an entire campaign for a newish candidate (after you pick one) and if it is Kamala she has a terrible track record of running a campaign and WH staff. It's overnight changing a billion dollar company's branding and product and having to be profitable the next quarter with a new CEO that has a bad management record.

I think a Blue Wave this year is unlikely but so much unprecedented stuff has happened in just the last few weeks I'm not ruling anything out.

I'm watching a Steve Kornacki breakdown on the polling. The polling average as of the other day was Biden at 45% and Trump at 47%. Harris was at 46% to Trump 47% so not much of a pick up. The bigger issue for Biden was that state polls were showing Biden trailing and Trump's lead increasing. Also previously thought of as Dem safe states particularly VA and MN were showing Trump taking the lead. Harris starts off still trailing in statewide polls but doing as good or slightly better than Biden.

While Biden remained within striking distance of Trump and in as good a position as Harris or other Democrats the trends weren't going good. The other issue would be that Biden to take the lead would need to have to not only campaign very vigorously but couldn't afford any other setbacks. I think many Democrats, even those who liked Biden were worried about what else could go wrong. For example if Biden had another disastrous debate performance.

I have come to believe that the Anger-tainment industry has too much $ at stake to let us out of this fine-tuned hellscape / Reality Anger-vision.

Did you really ask a serious question and expect a serious answer?

TO answer your question directly. While where I live is very heavy blue it is shades of blue. Ilhan Omar is my rep but I plan on voting against her in the primary. Also MN according to many is in play here so my vote might make a difference. Besides the fact I try to vote whenever there is an election because I'm one of those crazy people who believe in things like civic duty and participatory democracy.

To your original question even if as you accuse I live in a Dem bubble I'm not hearing any talk from Dems that they feel betrayed and are going to vote for Trump. I hear the opposite. Taking polling there doesn't appear to be any mass move of Biden supporters to Trump. Polling even before this showed that while Biden was in striking range of Trump most Democrats would welcome a different candidate.

If you really think that there will be many Biden supporters moving to Trump because of this I would question the bubble you're in.

Once again I asked you the same question. Why vote then when your party just does what ever the hell that they want to do to your vote? If you give me any other answers, you’re part of the problem and please continue with your path to vote blue no matter who to feed this machine that is going to destroy you and democracy.

it feels like the world has gotten even more extreme. there's a segment of gen z who seem to be as based as the alt-right boomers.

i hope i'm wrong but this is partly why i think kamala will have little chance. at this point in time a black woman will not become president.

if there is a chance, one outlier that could swing votes for this election is women's rights. anti-abortion laws are denying them life saving medical treatment.

Why are leftists always so focused on race? If she loses (which she will), "it must have been because she is black". What if it's just because she is an annoying dumbass with bad policies?

It's like a self-reinforcing cycle. Leftists assume it's all about race, so when their candidate doesn't win, it reinforces their belief that it was because conservatives are racist.

Who are the real racists here though? What if conservatives don't care about her race, but just prefer common sense policies?

You are conveniently forgetting Trump's 6 bankruptcies....or his horrid first term as President.

Harris will be focused - and show the American people what a fraudster and old man Trump really is....

The narrative switched overnight, and many in the GOP are missing it......they are about to FAFO.
