Just because someone thinks Biden should have dropped out doesn't mean they can't also think he was backstabbed by his own party. Perhaps what they meant is Biden should have dropped out before the primaries to give Dem voters a choice.

I think the poorer response is by Dems coping with posting videos of Hannity like it is 2005 and he's some conservative spokesperson (he is for some boomers at best but he absolutely sucks), or posting about donations to a multi-billion dollar political party as if that matters. It's just funneled for BS.

Dems want very bad for Trump voters to be scared but I haven't seen that. It feels like projection

“I’m a classic Republican and he’s a classic Democrat; obviously, President Biden and I usually didn’t see eye-to-eye. I opposed many of his initiatives. But we did find common ground on infrastructure, Ukraine, the Electoral Count Act, adding religious liberty protections to the marriage bill, gun safety measures, and chip manufacturing.

“Others will judge his presidency. However, having worked with him these past few years, I respect President Biden. His decision to withdraw from the race was right and is in the best interest of the country.

“Ann and I send warm personal wishes to the President and First Lady.”

Have you seen Joe? I’m legitimately concerned about his safety. We’ve already seen what THEY tried to do to Trump. There are so many questions that these shadowy clowns who are actually in charge must answer. The relentless attacks on Trump culminating in his attempt assassination? The con they pulled on the American public for the last 4 years until they can’t hide it anymore resulting in the walking corpse being pushed out to the curbs? Now they have a real mess on their hands so they will up the ante one more time.

Biden is going to talk to the nation this week and explain his decision. This didn't seem to register with these unfiltered thoughts about Biden being kidnapped and held in a secret hiding place.

I don't think any of those people seriously doubt Biden's existence or whether he wrote/oversaw the writing of that announcement. These folks are simply trolling for fun--let them have their fun. ;)

Serious question: now that the moderate, disenfranchised Dem voters are waking up with a dose of reality that their votes don’t matter and the party had been lying to them for years about Joe, would they crossover and vote for Trump in droves?
    Asking for a friend.

Republicans for months now have been saying Biden is too old and shouldn’t be running. He ends his campaign and now it’s an undemocratic coup and he should be forced to run.

    Serious answer.

No they will not and most Democrats don’t feel they were disenfranchised by Joe Biden stepping down.

I think it's hilarious that Dems are calling the Republican reaction to Biden's withdrawal as a "meltdown" . . . I think Republicans are simply reveling in the delicious irony of Democrats' hypocrisy in calling the opposing candidate a "threat to democracy" and then staging a soft coup from within their own ranks.

As opposed to the irony of saying Biden was too old to run and now that he has stepped down insisting it’s a “soft coup”?

The Voters Force Democrats to Oust Biden
His decision to drop out of the 2024 presidential race is in the nation’s interests, even if it was begrudging.

    https://www.wsj.com/articles/the-vo...nh1kz8kgr84&reflink=desktopwebshare_permalink

    excerpt:

President Biden bowed to the inevitable on Sunday by ending his re-election campaign, and, though belated and begrudging, his decision is in the best interests of the country. He clearly isn’t capable of doing the job of President for four more years, and he was headed for a crushing defeat against Donald Trump.

Republicans are saying the decision insults the voters who supported Mr. Biden in primaries, and there’s no doubt the Democratic establishment wanted him out. Nancy Pelosi, Hakeem Jeffries, Chuck Schumer and Barack Obama orchestrated what in the end was an insider coup. But they had been all-in for Mr. Biden as long as they thought he could win. Only when the election polls showed he was a likely loser, and the Democratic electorate revolted, did they plot to force his ouster.

I think this is an issue of the way it was done. He basically was Julius Caesar to death. Everyone took turns inserting cuts in his back and at first he was OK until every day more and more people from his side, kept doing it until he was literally in a situation where nearly everyone was against him at the end and substantial money issues was tangled as a concern

I almost feel sorry for him because this is not how he wanted to go out.
