ClutchFans Game Thread: Rockets @ Blazers - Vegas Summer League 7/21/2024

This game is so bad that it's making my ear bleed.

 

Refs are trash. Game is trash,

 

Amazing how much better this team plays once they benched Sheppard. Good job, Ime/Garrett.

 

Anyone know why Reed isnt playing?

 

Can we trade back 44th pick with AJ Griffin?

 

It's the Summer League and they're not playing for anything.

 

holland, dillingham, etc played tonight but reed sits because?

I don’t blame the staff for holding Reed out. Like with Cam, it’s not worth taking a chance on our guy getting banged up. I think they’ve seen enough of what Reed can do in this setting.

 

Holland sat out at least one game already, I believe. Timberwolves were still in the hunt for a SL championship, weren't they?

Yeah, I agree. Although I wondered why Cam was pulled. Maybe to see how Reed would handle being "the guy"? Or maybe they just wanted to get Cam off the floor to get some new shoes before he killed himself. Is he still with the team or did he go home?

 

I am not sure if Tari has fully recovered or not. But would have been if he played a few games like Cam.

 

This game gave me full blown ebola.

 

I don’t know, but Cam plays at pretty much one speed — all out. My guess is that, like with Reed, they had seen enough and took no chances.

 

twolves played a consolation game just like us. if a guy is injury prone it’s gonna happen sooner or later, whether at summer league or workouts with royal ivey or fonde rec center. guys still play at the rucker at the ucla runs etc, hard to see how getting reps at summer league any more risky

 

Yeah, he ripped his shoe in the last game, I think, so that may be one reason they decided to keep him out. Of course, going out on a 1/15 shooting effort in Summer League play kind of sucks. I'm still wondering about Cam's evolution and if he'll evolve or maybe a better word is "stabilize" in the future.

Ya from seeing those clips, it's obvious he's fully healed.

He had some sauce on that snatch back. I don't know who the defender was but he stumbled and fell.
