So, clearly, I have paved the way for Dubon to have a monster day. Some of you will foolishly give credit to Joe.

Just remember, no matter what Doobie does today, Chas still would’ve had a better game.

What is Chas doing now to warrant playing time? If your only answer is “last year”, you’re in the hypocritical zone.

He’s either hurt, or it’s mental or it’s a combination of both… regardless, he isn’t the best option at the plate even if it’s just as the #9 hitter.

    And, or,

Dana trades for an OF bat that can both L,R handed pitching.

You keep doubling down on your theory despite ample amount of data suggesting this wasn’t just “spotty playing time rust”. He’s had non-competitive plate appearances that would make Jose Abreu’s foul balls look like warranted optimism.

And now it’s reached the point that you’re no longer willing to be objective.

It ain't happening for Chas this year. He should be in the minors and Dana should be looking for another bat in a trade. Hopefully this happens soon

Yes he has sucked in 1/3 of a season’s worth of at bats, an injury, and very sporadic playing time. Infielders are playing his position. He is not allowed to slump? Cool. Hard to right the ship under these circumstances. I agree, he probably needs a change of scenery.

He’s had a bad year. it’s not “rust” or a slump based on every single metric you can imagine, from barrel rate, bat speed, K rate, whatever.

Not sure why you’re taking it probably harder than he is… which may be part of the problem.

And you keep doubling down on this mythical regular playing time thing that you say he’s getting.

I said a month or so ago it would do him some good to be in SL playing everyday and working on stuff for a bit. I still believe this. He can help the Stros this season.

I have eyes. I’ve watched his AB’s. He’s gotten less playing time more and more after each bad one.

Like I said yesterday, if he was showing even a semblance of getting out of this… or anything was suggesting this was merely a slump or bad luck, he’d get that chance.

They’ve had to have suggested this to him… either he just doesn’t want to or they fear it would further his mental issues? (Like what happens if he can’t hit AAA pitching?).

Hard to dig out of a slump when you’re on the bench 3 outta 4 days. Some are given ample time and some aren’t. Chas had an .842 OPS last year and did hit RHP. In my book, that’s enough to give him more of a chance to dig out of his slump. At least let him play LF over Dubon.

Yep, the Stros can't afford to wait on Chas, they're in the middle of a pennant race. It's time to move on. Hopefully chas can bring a productive middle reliever in a trade. I say this as a fan of Chas.

Meyers sucked for 2 straight years and wasn’t sent down.

I think, if they are running Cabbage, a rookie, and Dubon out there, they can afford it.

He wasn’t doing anything positive with the last consistent run he had. Most notably is his falling off a cliff against lefties. When a bonafied strength of a player becomes a liability (with really bad AB’s to go along with it), it raises all sorts of concerns.

They need guys in there who aren’t “figuring it out”.

Even these guys haven't been worse than Chas this year.

He hasn’t really had consistent run since April. Again, he barely has 1/3 of a season’s worth of plate appearances.
