Reed Sheppard graduated high school last June. Let me reiterate. High school. I just want people to think about that for a second... pause... now you can post.
He's not the 1st player to do so. No more excuses. His time will come. Just not now. IMO, it will happen sooner if he focuses on being an off ball shooter.
This is our real backup, one day soon to be starting PG. And his bench mates should one day be: SG: Reed S./ Tari SF: Cam/ Tari PF Cam/ Tari/ McVeigh C: Adams/ Robinson/ Landale
Former NBA exec, Mark Medina on Foxsports, "I've been impressed with three players. 1. Reed Sheppard, whose feel for the game is more advanced than some vets. 2. Holland, I believe he is going to have a chance for ROY and third, Sarr. He is going to have the same defensive impact as Chet. He just needs to shoot better." Nearly choked on my Frito Lays chips at the 3rd suggestion.
While I personally agree with what he said about Sheppard, what he then said about Holland and Sarr was so hilariously bad it invalidates everything he said.
yall misunderstanding the quote. holland has a chance at roy just as all other rookies do. 0.0001% chance is still a chance. as for sarr, he will have the same defensive impact as chet the shet... during his first year. injured. hence his commander sheppard take can still be valid.
you showed a clip of him playing defense. Which we all know he’s good. Do you have a 25 minute recording of him playing point guard in the NBA so we can also see his greatness there?
I am a fan of the Rockets' future starting SF.....but I don't see what he has to do with a thread about the Rockets' future starting PG
I love Amen. He has arguably the highest ceiling on the team. But untill he can handle maintaining a live dribble against presses and multiple defenders hounding him while doing things like navigating a pnr action he will be more of a point forward than a PG.
It doesn't matter if hes being a PG or a point forward. As long as hes the one bringing the ball up the floor setting up the plays. Right now Reed needs to be a spot up shooter rather than point because he is not ready. This is how he will be able to make his mark as a 3 point sniper.
I agree. However you want to dice it up, Amen should be the heavy usage ball-handler going forward, and the team should be built around that future. Reed is perfect in this scenario.
Do you also question god for creating an ugly cretin like you every time you look yourself in the mirror or accept that even the best of the best can have an off day?
