Jabari can work with any C. But him and Sengun are a better pairing because Sengun dominates in the post and Jabari provides spacing from 3.

What the hell are you talking about? Jabari had one of the highest TS% and the lowest attempts among the starters.

Jabari doesn't work with a C that is lacking in creativity and feel, IMO. Unless you have a couple of HOF guards, perhaps. Otherwise, you'd have team cardboard out there. You'd have to Shane Battier jump-hook teams to death... :D

Like Desmond Bane, I bet they are offering a sub-Max with incentives that can get to max.

I call it toxic-contract prevention measures against players coasting after signing

I could see Mobley not signing it.

Evan Mobley getting bullied in the paint with Mitchell Robinson and Julius Randle in the Playoffs and not being a option for teammates in the offense, Mobley would rather stand in the corner to shoot 3s.

Jackson Gatlin of Locked on Rockets always says I would have Drafted Evan Mobley over Jalen Green.

When Jalen Green went off the 2nd half of the season Roosh, Jackson Gatlin, Greenleaf, Chop Shop, those clowns really went quiet.

Ime Udoka finally ran the system through Jalen Green instead of Jalen Green standing in the corner or side and ball watch.

Now just good players ate getting max 40-50 mil a year extensions. This is getting out of control. Teams are going to run out of money for non star players. Its going to be max contract or minimum.

Problem is that those non-star players dont have the pull in CBA or the savings to wait out a long strike/lock out that they would need to fix this situation.

Same thing is happening in NFL with non QB's

Wow. So we can officially close the book

    JG> Mobley

JG will make the max if he deserves it or will get less or even shipped out if he doesnt deserve it. Way better than paying up to 50M for a 15 ppg player.

Bobby, Samfisher and the rest of the peanut gallery can stfu now Stone made the correct choice.

I thought paying Hartenstein 30M was already a joke, but I'd rather have Harty at 30 than Mobley at 53M lolololololol

The 2nd Apron and the new CBA might have the opposite effect after a few years. Instead of preventing the accumulation of talent, it heavily punishes teams for hitting on draft picks put not turning them into superstars, as anyone worth anything gets a max contract.

I didn't think players were eligible for a contract that large that quickly after their rookie contract was up. I thought that kind of pay dirt was for Top 20 players not Top 100 players. Crazy and now Sengun is going to have to get that kind of extension or hea going to be pissed since he's better than Mobley. Jalen, I don't care about Sengun deserves whatever the market is for his draft class and it's looking completely unaffordable. We may not be able to even consider signing Amen, Cam and Reed by the time their extensions come along because we're going to be in the 2nd apron with Sengun, Jabari and Tari and a handful of other players. Crazy!

The 2nd apron worked out in owners favor cuz now they have a legit reason not to exceed salary cap.

Its def gonna affect the non max players interests.

Looking at these deals and keep thinking how insanely OKC messed-up by not maxing out Harden.

Just look at Harden’s Yr3 numbers and compare to the Mobleys, Cades, and Wagners of today.

    27.7 pts per 100 pos
    +20 net rating
    .660(!) TS%
    .587 (!) FTr

NBA 6th Man of the year
part of a Big Three on a Finals team

How do you not max him and keep a young core that just made it to the Finals? How?

The pressure is building on Stone - the RFA plan is going to be a bitter pill

He's probably going to have to move one of Green or Sengun to cope with the copious extension handing-outing

I was thinking that Sengun and Green would be hovering around the 20-25 mil /year extension but that is all gone now. VanVleet getting 40 was nuts but Rockets had to spend the money. Now it looks like they are going to have to drop VanVleet and replace his contract with Sengun getting the 40 and then move Green for future draft capital then get ready for a large extension the following year with Jabari and Tari and hope they can afford to keep both, then get ready for major extensions on Amen and Cam. Then Reed. . . . . Pick 3 Stone, pick 3.
