Did you know Spurs were gonna sign CP3 to 13M?? There's zero evidence to say no team wouldnt take WB for more than the minimum because WB already took his option instead of hitting free agency. What we know is the Nuggets who were world champs want him on the team and prior that the Clippers wanted him as well and only traded him when he wanted to go to the Nuggets.
They are different people if you weren’t aware, one has some possible use still and one is russ. Russ has an agent, if someone was willing to give him more he would have opted out….obviously
You arent the god of basketball you dont represent the voice of every single basketball person in the NBA. If you didnt know Spurs were gonna sign Cp3 how are you so sure nobody would offer WB anything higher than minimum if he was a free agent? Your entire logic is trust me bro wtf. Also did you see Cp0's performance in the play in? I'm pretty sure he was as bad as WB's. Or even worse.
Honestly I'm kinda mad we're still in the evaluation stage and cant do some consolidation. Tyus Jones and Luke Kennard are still available and would be great signings for any team still with capspace.
Dude if someone was gonna offer russ 13 mil he would have opted out, why would he pick up his option for the minimum if he could get more??
Denver shoulda got Tyus Jones not Russ. I would love to have Tyus on this team. Should signed him instead of Holiday.
I agree but I guess nobody thought dude would be unsigned till now. Maybe it shows the lack of value of tradional pgs in the NBA today.
Real life means a lack of complete information. Russ opted in the second FA began, he and his agent arent mind readers how would they know somebody would be interested? Spurs just signed Cp3 to 13M when they could have had Tyus Jones for that amount.
You don’t think agents have an idea of what’s out there for their clients? That’s the entire purpose they exist
Michael Scotto: The Memphis Grizzlies are essentially trading Ziaire Williams, the 10th pick in the 2021 NBA Draft, as a salary dump to clear more cap space to remain below the luxury tax and re-sign Luke Kennard. Brooklyn Nets take a flyer on a former lottery pick and get a second-round pick. Source: Twitter @MikeAScotto
WB never thought he'd get traded when he took that option otherwise he wouldnt have bothered and signed with Denver directly for the minimum. That alone shows you real life isnt like NBA2K. You never heard of NBA players who fumbled the bag? It happens every year despite all of them having agents.
lol what? there was never any talk of him actually staying with the clips, he picked up the option to maximize his earnings
the 2nd year player option min is higher then if he opted out and signed with denver, plus this way he can double dip no?
The veteran min for 10 yr vets are 3.3M, his contract pays him 3.9M. WB has over 500M in career earnings I doubt he will be calculative over 600k gross (300k net) he prob spends that on a weekend partying in malibu or w/e.
if you have the option between 4 mil and 3.3, you'll take 4. I don't even get what you're arguing here
If you have 500M you couldnt care less. My point is you are acting like WB masterminded all this just to get an extra 300k which is absurd.
