My understanding is that they are not guaranteed- so can flip them at any stage.

There are a lot of starting centers in the league averaging 8-10pts/8-10reb. Agree that Jock isn't necessarily the long term starter you want, but he's at least able to hold his own against lower tier NBA starters which happened to be the type of talent we played during the run late last year. The reality is - even though Jock is a fairly pedestrian center, he's at least on par with 10 other NBA starting centers. There just aren't enough decent traditional NBA bigs to go around the league.

...that's why teams have been more willing to roll the dice with these really long skinny players who have wing skills rather than traditional bigs because there are only a small number of teams who have efficient enough offensive players who can exploit that size mismatch on the boards/scoring.

Yeah I'll take Robinson over him and Griffin at this point.

It's crazy, I thought he was totally useless the first half of last season, but in hindsight, he was clearly injured - played quite well to end the season.

I still think he is the third string guy behind Alpi and Adams, but good to see him do well - if for no other reason than to eventually increase his trade value.

He's the insurance policy for Adams. Rockets will have to make a decision in the first part of the season.

My preference would be if we could re-sign Adams on a long-term deal that's not much more expensive than Landale's. I think Adams is really good, and perfect for this team.

OR got dominated by Bobby Clintman Jock Landale put up 20 pts against Bam, Embiid and AD.

This shouldn't even be a discussion.

The Rockets should try to keep all 3. Sengun and Adams are the perfect C rotation, but injuries happen and its great to have a starting caliber C like Landale waiting in the wings instead of having to rely on Jeff Green at C cuz we know Ime won't play Nfaly Dante or Oscar Robinson.

Landale is extremely cheap at only 8M he makes around what Tate is making and Tare shouldn't even be part of the rotation.

Ime would definitely play Oscar Robinson if he was in his prime but sadly he’s out of the league..

Jk aside yeah Orlando Robinson would be our reserve G League Center at best even we sign him
