2024 DNC Open Convention - Biden forced out, Kamala passed over

    [BREAKING]
    Biden is being forced out of the race by party elites and big money donors. The results of the Democratic primary are being tossed out. A coup is taking place as the principles of democracy are being jettisoned by the Democrats. According to Mark Halperin, Biden will drop out this weekend and will NOT name Kamala Harris as his successor in the race. Apparently, he doesn't think she's good enough to win. Instead, they'll have an OPEN CONVENTION at the DNC convention. Will this be a DEI Olympics, or will they pass over the (half) black woman in favor of a white man (Newsom) or white woman (Whitmer)? Or maybe a Jewish man (Shapiro)? Will Democrats fracture their fragile coalition through these last ditch efforts to field a competitive candidate? Will black voters be offended with Kamala being tossed aside? How will the pro-Palestine crowd react to Shapiro on the ticket? Will any of it even matter, with Trump's strength and his efforts to unite the country after the failed assassination attempt on him?

    Whitmer and Newsome are REFUSING to be Kamala's VP. Wow.

    Remember, Kamala amassed ZERO delegates when she ran for President in the primaries in 2020. Zero.

    Not that he cares about being truthful, because he is an excellent caricature, but T_J is wrong about Newsom. He is Constitutionally-prohibited (unless it's suspended, of course, which many people are saying is a wonderful and necessary thing to do) from being on a ticket with Harris since they're both from California.

    Fixable. Remember when Dick Cheney changed his voter registration to Wyoming? Newsom doesn't want to hitch his wagon to a losing candidate.

    Harris is also been a resident of Washington DC for four years. If she hasn't changed her driver's license yet, the DMV really should get after her about that :cool:

    Dick Cheney wasn't in office when he joined W. Newsom is the sitting governor of California. That's a much more powerful and influential position than the vice presidency. Don't forget Texas' own John Nance Garner called the latter "not worth a bucket of warm piss"
