Bagley’s ws/48 is way higher (of course easier for bigs), higs BPM is higher, his VORP is high despite having played less minutes. Bagley’s rookie season is better then any jalen season. It is what it is. What metric shows jalen is better?

That's like horribly wrong. Marvin Bagley in his 5th season is worse in almost every advanced metric like VORP.

5 other NBA teams completely whiffed on the "talent" --- I mean its all right there in the stats! The Wizards have found themselves a player! :D

They'll probably point to **** like points per game or games played because they are fundamentally dishonest people or just the most casual of casual fans.

Bagley literally had a negative VORP in his third season

True, his career vorp is higher in fewer minutes though

keep in mind we’re arguing if he’s been better then a fringe minimum contract level player

His career VORP includes his 4th and 5th seasons of being barely a positive player in .2 and .3 VORP. Jalen Green by his third year had a VORP of 1.

If Jalen Green in his 4th and 5th year has a .3 VORP that would be immensely disappointing.

a lottery 2nd pick numero uno SG on his 3rd year

with 33% of his regular season games better than 33% from behind the arc chucking 8.5 threes a game

Ya basketball reference really liked his defensive improvement. Offensively he was the same as year 2. If he can continue to improve his defensive and his offensive shows something, that would be lovely

Bagley's DPM was much lower in his second and third seasons compared to Jalen's also.

I don't see any rational justification to say Bagley has been better. He absolutely hasn't been.

I mean jalen has played more minutes then bagley in his career and has a worse vorp, worse bpm, worse ws/48. It’s really not that crazy

Jalen has a better VORP and BPM in his second and third years by a large margin. And BPM is a rate state.

Also the fact that Bagley cannot get consistent starter level minutes on lottery teams says a lot

Ya bagley peaked as a rookie for sure. I like how jalen’s “better vorp” was when he had zero. This is the saddest debate i have ever taken part of lol, basically arguing about 2 scrubs

You'd think a lot of young players who are stars today are scrubs based on scoffing at 0-1 level VORP numbers when they were 19-22

Also when you move goal posts like this it tells me you shoot from the bumhole when it comes to narratives and then have to readjust when you get actual information.

Ok bud, not that deep. I just looked at the career stats, i wasn’t breaking down which scrub was better which season. If you think jalen has been better then bagley that’s fine, it’s close enough either view is ok
