Seems like the Rockets want to build some continuity. As of right now, there's only 2 guys (I think) that were on the team last year that are not on the roster right now. Boban and Reggie. They've only brought in 3 new players...Reed, N'Faly, Griffin
From what I understand FAs and draftees dont want to come to the Rox and just sit on the bench. Rox reportedly couldnt get workouts from top prospects aside from Reed Sheppard and Donovan Clingan.
I respect Jalen Brunson more than any player in the NBA. He's putting his money where his mouth is, which is what very few professional athletes do. Nothing wrong at all for purely maximizing money for a short career like most of them do, but I have no time for pretenders who talk the talk and don't mean it.
Interesting. If we hire Sengun's dad, can we he get him on a below market steal for his next 2 contracts? I don't know why Brunson has so much faith in that organization. My guess he regrets this decision in the future. And, lol at the inflated KJ contract. Good for him to get some extra cash for being Morey's walking trade filler.
I don’t think players are pretenders or not walking the walk if they want to get what they deserve. No different than an owner not choosing to pay insane luxury tax every year.
You misunderstood me. I don't think anyone blames players whose #1 focus is maximizing their earnings. "It's a business". Just don't pretend winning is the most important thing when it isn't. Second apron penalties have changed NBA owner behavior forever and I agree with Steph dynasties are gone.
