I think most around here thought 34-36 before the season started. I believe Las Vegas had us around 31-32 wins.
I think Jalen Green will be more of what he was at the second half of the year. I think he’s a Bradley Beal. We will have to decide is he worth the max. I personally like the RFA approach for him and Sengun. Let’s see what they’re worth to other teams. If Whitmore is who he is in summer league, I’m open to trading him (Green) for the right package.
Exactly so its an improvement to go from 32 to 41 wins. They keep underestimating the team. Rockets will def be in the play in this year assuming injuries don't screw us.
Just a point of reference, no team that won at least 41 games in West is predicted to improve by a game. Most losing wins. Basically, they think Memphis will be healthier and SA will not be tanking with only the Clippers falling apart. I like the over, but the 5th though 11th seeds in West is going to be a brutal fight.
So who's putting their membership at risk this season on another dick measuring contest of wins!? RIP @YOLO
So you're ok with trading somebody to play another player who has worse shooting percentages in the summer league than Jalen has in the real league? Cam might not even be good enough to be Jalen's backup.
If the Rockets trade Green, Cam would not be the replacement. That would be a disaster. Cam does his thing in transition, attacking closeouts and catching and shooting. He isn't some pnr ball handler who can do stuff off he dribble against set half court defenses If Green is traded, his replacement would be probably the guy the team traded him for like a Mitchell or Booker. Probably Green + some future draft capital
Just called my bookies in LOS Vega$$ and cancelled all my bets because of this Summer league HUMILIATION at the hands of the piston boys Next month mortgage gonna be rough
It looks like the new practice facility on Old Katy Rd. is almost ready. It looks pretty bad ass. It's kind of crazy that this is the first proper practice facility they've ever had. During the 90s they had to practice at HBU, then at the Westside Tennis club, then at the undersized Toyota Center practice wing. Fun fact, at HBU Kevin Willis would attract a crowd every time he was doing bench press, dude was an absolute beast. He warmed up with 400.
I think Willis still holds the modern era record as the oldest NBA player as well (another record I think Lebron is aiming at)
Lol Dillon is peak "love his antics if he's on your side and hate his antics if he isn't" type of dude
Na, tons of people In Memphis hated him and plenty of people here hate him. Sucks he’s on the team, mostly because of how bad he is but the antics are annoying as well
Mostly dislike Brooks because of antics. He's not the best player, but his play doesn't hurt the team, usually. Contract may need to be moved to create cap space if the Rockets become a cap space team.
His offense is incredibly hard to overcome. He is basically terrible at every part of offense. He can’t shoot, can’t pass, can’t rebound, has absolutely zero basketball iq when it comes to offense. He’s basically reverse jokic
He is also just an above average defensive player. He was valuable as a contributor to changing our culture, but Amen is better at virtually everything except 3 pointers and Brooks averages about 1-3 per game. He needs to go to open up minutes. He is not a floor spacer which is the knock on Amen. If Amen can just manage 30% percent from the corner, he will be incredible difference maker for this team.
Ya his defense has always been wildly overrated. He’s solid man to man which creates some nice clips, which in turn got him those all defense votes, but it’s only one thing. His rebounding is putrid, his help defense sucks (because his basketball iq is so low), and he fouls a ton.
