So I looked up his stats for SL, insanity:

    21.5pts 75/81/100 splits, 2.5reb 2.5 ast 2 stl

Kinda makes you wonder, did we make a massive mistake, or should we maybe temper our expectations for Reed/Cam because their first 2 games of shooting aint **** compared to Josh's haha.

The poor b*stard got super hot from downtown and it was in a 20 point blow out in Summer League… talk about poor luck in timing.

He has some talent, hopefully he has matured some since humping Jalen Green.

Jalen's probably hovering around in the lockeroom waiting to see just how hot he got.

It’s been a long road for Josh. Good to see him finally getting over the hump. I’ll hang up and listen.

Am happy for him..but it's not a mistake.. a player playing his 4th summer league isn't a mistake ..Miami is a perfect spot for him .if he works out he will be in the league but if he's off Miami chances of him in the NBA are slim

Talented dude, but not a right fit with the Rockets.

Some folks need a little humbling, to hone their skill eventually.

Always thought he was better than Jalen Green. Still feel like he plays harder.

He could still pan out to be something. You can just only have so many development projects at once.

This is the correct take. He wasn't getting NEAR the attention here as one of many rookies(most with higher ceilings than him) with lots of developmental needs. He needed to leave to actually be able to find his place in the league. It's all good - I hope he makes it and even comes back at some point as a more complete player. I wouldn't be shocked if he became a bench JR Smith type of player - when he gets hot, he can impact a game.

Nah you always take the Humper over the Humpee. Best Humper Available all the way.

Not sure why anyone is surprised he looks good in Summer league as a scorer because.... he previously with Houston looked good in Summer League as a scorer.

The issue is in the NBA the offensive talent he has is severely damped by the bump up in size, and talent. If Christopher was 4 inches taller, he'd have the talent, and the size to be an effective 2/3 scorer off the bench. Being like 6 foot 2 (that seems gratuitous too if you see him in person) is the reason why he's not an NBA talent, but in the G-League, in Euro league, etc. he's definitely a talented enough scorer to have a minor league career.

The Rockets taking him in the 1st round was always baffling to me. He's a classic 2nd round or 2-way talent to stash at the end of your bench, and maybe he can have a moment or two in a season when injuries rock your bench.
